Social secuity recipients..& ssi recipients & veterns need the financial help more than anyone..because they recieve limited financial help...and practically living in poverty ....income is below survival standards ...they & everyone living on limited income & not to mention the blind ....the $2000 recurrimg momthly payments are needed ASAP

I hate paydays anymore. Go get money out of the bank and pay bills and come home broke and can't afford all necessities every month 1 month I buy some necessities the next month I buy what necessities I couldn't afford the month b4 it's a vicious cycle
Anyone on social security benefits, should automatically get snap benefits, the full amount! This would help all seniors tremendously. This should be made into law. It would allow seniors to be able to pay their bills and not have to worry about groceries!!!!!!!!

We really do need a cost of living raise. Truly, to not make allowance for Coronavirus disturbing our already limited income but for the rise in all consumer goods. Then we need the stimulus at least every month through till February of next year 2022.
It is hard enough to pay rent, pay for our everyday goods, and food. Just to have a phone on top of these few things is pushing it and a car, FORGET about it!
Praying for all of us that those who can make this stimulus happen do considering their countrymen as if it were them. 🙏

That’s crazy that they take it all back when SSI gets a raise. The rent goes up and EBT goes down. What’s the point?!? We need the $200 raise instead and that would actually help.
Sadly feel that way too. 😞 I'm on Section 8 and whatever raise I get they take away. The only thing I try to do is that my lease is up in July so between January to July I put aside (as cash...the Ye Olde stuff under mattress idea) the raise amount to at least have a little emergency fund for medical costs and to keep my car running.

9 weeks ago I went to the grocery store and spent 75.00. After having major surgery 8 weeks ago, I was able to go grocery shopping. I bought the same groceries I did 9 weeks ago. I was so shocked the total was 134.00 for the same items I bought 9 weeks ago. Most of the items eith the r double or triple in price.

You should also get a dependent benefit for your 16 ye old from Social Security on your Disability benefits as well. That's like $600.00 monthly.

Matt every year when we get a raise , Medicare goes up, and we don't get much of a raise, and yes everything is more expensive now, food, gas, and everything.

we had a raise last year but not before they stopped giving us on ssdi a raise and 2 percent wasn't anything

I live with someone, whom I'm not married to, because I would not get nearly as much I were to get married. He gets SSDI, ruined his legs in a horrible motorcycle accident years ago. So, because we share our bills, grocery and the expenses of living...His income was included when we did have to apply after a Hurricane caused a power outage over a week and we lost all our grocery in fridge, freezer...It was only because it was deemed an emergency, that we got them that month. I don't know if Covid has made it easier or simpler or folks like us to get them, even or a ew months.

That's why the Medicare is all set so when you pass out or have a heart attack no problem the Dr.s Will get paid. We simply do not matter. I hardly think we are in the best for last category.

My last cola raise added up to 1.00 for ssp/ssi and 10.00 for my ssdi. Total 11.00. And my snap went down. We cammot win. Feels like they font care

Same here Terry and I was recently diagnosed with cancer all the copays for tests has hit me hard and this journey is just starting . I doubt I will even be able to afford treatment and already only take my meds on a skip a day schedule . Prayers to you Terry

Every time we get a raise Medicare goes up I know my supplementary insurance just went up starting this month $15
Agree, mine also went up from 131.00 to 146.00 a month. Plus Medicare part B went up. Out of my SS check I pay out 350.00 month for medical. Gives me 610.00 to live on.
My supplementary went up $35. a month.😥
i'm going on 80. i have great supplementary insurance with great prescription coverage and only pay $72 a month for it.

We have to wait another 90 days to get a COLA raise, not that $12 more makes a difference. The raise we get will be taken off our SNAP benefits

@@simplymarvelous4130i knew growing up something wasn't right. But i started work on my 18th birthday trying & immediately there was just to much pain. I started asking questions. Turns out i have a nerve genetics disorder & multiple back disorders due to a accident i had when i was under.. Course the 2 accidents caused by others didn't help either.there's other disorders mental & physically but learning to just deal with it & people around me is the hardest to do... So many autistic family members. They now starting to actually see if i maybe have a slight processing disorder. :/

The VA uses the same cola data for our rase im not sure what cola looks at but it flat out isn't even close to the real cost of living increase ever. Even if they get it right this year we've fallen so far behind that it would ten to fifteen years for them to catch us up.

Wish we had $800 a month for food we don't qualify for food stamps and we only have $140 a month for food after bills are paid and fill up gas tank once a month

Homeowners insurance, vehicle insurance, $45.00 monthly towards 20% leftover from Medicare, $55.00 mo. Life ins for both of us, $80.00 mo. For 2 tanks of gas, (covers 4 trips monthly to Dr. s) and that leaves $175.00 per month for household whatnots and groceries.
Thank God for our local food pantry and our state food commodities!

They should leave food stamps alone the SNAP benefit that is just ridiculous what's the sense of getting the raise if they're going to take it away one way or the other that's messed up my opinion
The president needs to make it a law that the raise for disabled people needs to be larger than what Cola is going to give. Cola is going to give the highest to 20 dollars. We the disabled people needs a law raise.

I've been getting SSI for 31 years. I have never gotten a COLA statement until the middle to the end of November. This COLA statement is actually my yearly award letter, & it tells me how much I will be getting for the next year, starting in January.
Hi, it’s great to see you, thank you so much for the message and for watching, yeah exactly, they usually send out those letters at the end of the year to tell everybody how much the new benefit is going to be in the following year. We're already in July and you're talking about July we already received our checks I didn't get no increase
Im like so many others are below the $900 figure and 75 % of my snap benefits were taken away and Im left with $42.00 for groceries each month. My stress level has played a toll on my health and each day is becoming a struggle. I pray you never give up on us who need your strength and your humor to get thru this. Corey you are a true angel to be at Matts side. You both have become a great force. Your family has help us all even more than you will ever know. You future will be blessed with many wonderful suprises. I'll look forward to your next video!!!

The government gives a little ( if any) but takes a lot. And that goes for both parties.

They are cutting off our snap benefits August 31st, I truly feel this is unfair to people who is on SSI and ssa ssdi. We should at least receive the snap benefits until the end of the year, like December 31st. Then give 1/2 of benefits of snap benefits starting 1-1-2022

I only get SSDI of $811 after medicare and prescription drug premiums are taken out
I just thank its sad to have to live that way in this world because the truth is all you can do is pay on your bills and then do with out the rest of the month
