Yep, any neutral would be happy for him. Shame the Hamilton fan boys are going to attack him and call him a fake champion (just like they did with Rosberg in 2016).
Fair enough he got lucky today with the safety car. But over the course of the season, he's probably had more bad luck than Hamilton. Not to mention his car only finished 2nd in the constructors. So yeah, he deserved it.

You could not write a book like this. Started at 4 in carts. Saw his father in F1 racing with the great Schumacher. Started in F1 at the age of 16. Won the Spanish GP the first race he raced in the RedBull. Won his home Dutch GP the first time that track came back to F1 and it was in the season he would end up champion for the first time. Became champion in the last round of the last GP of a record holder Hamilton in a Mercedes that has dominated F1 for year after year.
Its incredible. Its a story that no man probably repeat in this fashion.

Commentators were already imagining Max resting at a vacation spot and thinking about how he could have won the championship if he had been safe at Silverstone. Then they interviewed Chris Horner, who openly admitted Mercedes have been on top of them this race and RedBull really needs a miracle to win from here... And then his wish was granted! ⭐

The last lap was absolutely heartbraking. I was literally getting up from my chair standing up and drinking water throughout the last lap because I thought I would have a heart attack. The adrenaline was quite high. Never experienced something like this before in any sports. Cheers!

Yes the excitment Verstappen was going must be intense, but he could pull it through, when he knows that he would think years later what he could do better, if did somthing wrong there, so it was great how Verstappen went for the overtake opportunity that was given to him and then defended his position from inside.

Here a little Story I would like to share:
As a true Jos Verstappen Fan(,since 1992) in 2003 I went to see Joss "The Boss" Verstappen in his Gokart Shop in Montfort.
At the backyard of his fathers (Frans)Café .
At the roundabout in Montfort.
In the shop a little boy came running from the stairs. Got into the shop, to steal some candy, which was in a glass bottle on the counter of the shop. This little boy was Max, at that time 5-6 years old.
His grandfather Frans went after him to get the candy.

The competition was just fire! Checo did an amazing job for holding Hamilton up
until his engine blew up at the Safety Car. We also see Checo smiling at the podium celebration

Amateur performance from Mercedes, Hamilton blitzed Max today and even radioed it’s a long way on these tyres, could of easily pitted a lap after Max made his second stop , Hamilton’s pace was miles quicker today and his team let him down big time .

That last lap was possibly the most exciting thing I have witnessed live in Formula 1, such an incredible way to finish the race. It's going to be a long wait for the next season but it will be exciting to see what the teams do with their cars and how they will stack up.

I really can’t feel sorry for Lewis and Mercedes, Lewis has been champion 7 years in a row, and he still came second and Mercedes still won the constructors that year it’s about time we see other teams and drivers winning

@@zorro1896 A bit? Masi blatantly broke rules 48.18 and 48.12 in order to give max the win. This sport is a joke and the fact that one man can bend the rules on the last lap to recieve the results he, along with everybody else wanted, is a disgrace.
