    Literally Kratos vs every god that underestimated him. Even Hercules was physically stronger than him, but was acting exactly like the Hare. All Kratos had to do was wait until a button appeared above them and win.

      Half of the stories Kratos told are actually referencing to his previous life.
      The hare and the tortoise is during his battle with Hermes. And the scorpion and frog is when he rode on Gaia's back on the way to Olympus.

      @@Erricane no they are not. Actually these stories are old greek fables written by aesop. kratos even said he met him long ago, at 00:16. they are not references to his life, excepting the one of the horse and the stag.

      Not really, kratos is talking about the hermes fight. When kratos fought hermes, he was arrogant and brash, zipping across the map and not actually engaging him. Kratos was slow and patient, making his way to him. Kratoscends up winning their fight and taking Hermes' boots as a tool.

    In another version: The tortoise win by waiting for an opportunity to strike as the hare was gloating. The opportunity came when the hare was sitting on top of a statue, the tortoise trebuchet itself to the hare, and after a brief chasing, the tortoise chopped both of the hare's hind legs.

    These stories Kratos tells are actually very significant, not in its content, but from where Kratos got the stories in the first place.
    Obviously, he refers to Aesop, a man who was both a slave and a storyteller. Although we aren't sure there was an Aesop and no writing by him survived, many ancient scholars credited these tales to this man known as Aesop, such as The Hare and The Tortoise.
    Aesop lived between 620 and 564 BCE, which means that the events of the Greek saga in the God Of War series might take place around that time period.

    Yes there was a story of a girl in a red hood. she was sent on a mission to deliver Goods to her weaken old grandmother but she is foolish and too trusting. A wolf in the shadows appears and devours grandmother slowly. when the girl in The Red Hood arrives, the wolf devours her too. They are then rescued by a nosey stranger.

      It wasn’t written down or published yes, but it was passed around by word during the Greek era. It’s a Greek fable from the Aesop oral collection, sometime between 600-500 bce.
