SPACER is a great idea - thanks. I actually liked the slightly raised plug a lot better than flush - it's a design thing. Costs EXTRA! (Like Raw Honey)

What type of blade are using for this cut.

The saw is a Marples dovetail saw and the chisel is a simple 1 1/2" chisel I found at a garage sale. I sharpened it progressively up to a 3000 grit automotive sandpaper. Thanks for watching
