I said this as soon as I first heard the states ,state such a preposterous, idea could anyone imagine telling the United States what they should be doing in a war.I hear from people from the west well putlier will use his nuclear armament, unfortunately there's nothing I or anyone else can do to stop a mad man from using a nuclear device but it would only take 2 possibly 3 to finish rusdia off as it may have a massive land mass but its only Moscow, St Petersburg and Novosibirdk large industrial areas every where else is run down and poor with little to know main infrastructure or factors, so russia would be lost before it even started .,and after seeing the weaponry they have handed out to there military (mobilised) and some of the ammunitions that they have been given even the Russians have been afraid to use ,if they haven't kept there nuclear weapons up to scratch I would think that they would be very wary about sending them off as they dysfunction before take off or during take off

HE doesn't speak that much truth here. His "wacko, wacko left that doesn't want to spend anything outside of America" is BS. For instance, the far left for instance is keen to give aid to Gaza. They're 100% for it. Breedlove is correct, at least, that the wacko right is isolationist: Trump, in a fit of pique, after losing the election, actually ordered for ALL American troops the world around ALL come back to America, including all the forces in NATO countries, in Japan and South Korea, and so on. He wanted this in three weeks. He didn't realize that even pulling out of Afghanistan--his only campaign pledge that legitimately had over half the US supporting it--would take more than a year to fully plan. Instead he signed a capitulation document with the Taliban and promised to get out in just a year, and then did ZERO planning for actually doing it. When Biden came into office he had to unilaterally move the date back to cover Trump's lack of planning.
But Breedlove goes back to LYING to suggest it's the American left, the Democrats, who are responsible for the border situation. There is a bipartisan bill that's already passed the Senate vote and which Biden will sign. The vast majority of both parties in the House is ready to sign it, but Trump told Speaker Johnson not to call it to a vote, and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene told Johnson she'd get him fired from the Speakership if he called that vote. Minority Leader Jeffries in the House is trying to find about 10 Republicans to agree to a special motion to call it to a vote over the speaker's objections, but the Republicans are afraid of Trump getting attacking them in the coming elections, so Jeffries can't quite force the vote either. In short, Breedlove is LYING about who is causing the border chaos. It is TRUMP and GREENE and JOHNSON, not "the left."

As an American, I agree 100%. Supporting Ukraine fully is not only morally and militarily correct, but giving into bullies and despots always only encourages them. Furthermore, the best way for Biden to win against the despicable monster and traitor Trump is to let Ukraine have more success- our current policy not only by not standing up to Netanyahu but also by not fully supporting Ukraine makes Biden look weak and Trump as well as Putin as well as Netanyahu will exploit that one way or another.

@lopezb Hear! Hear! (You mentioned being American so please permit the explanation from a Brit that that is what our Members of Parliament say during debates in the House of Commons to signal their approval of something said with which they emphatically agree😂❤)
I am 54 and so have lived through some momentous events including The Falklands War, the ousting of Maggie Thatcher, the Balkan Wars, the eruption of Mount Washington, the Chernobyl disaster, the Ethiopian Famine and Bob Dylan's Live Aid, Princess Diana, the Drought of 1976, the Great Storm of 1987, the 2004 tsunami, the 2011 tsunami and Fukushima, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the collapse of the Soviet Union, the death of Queen Elizabeth and the crowning of a new King - and news of his cancer.
But NOTHING has affected me like Ukraine and, by the way, if you haven't yet seen President Zelenskyy address MPs and the Lords in Westminster Hall, I cannot recommend it to you enough - a general hubbub of conversation quietens upon the entry of the Speakers of both Houses in full 18thCentury Court drag - their lacy jabots and cuffs, frock coats, stockings and silver buckled shoes contrast with the sober President Ze in wall to wall olive green. Sir Leslie Hoyle summons quiet and makes a few opening remarks, recalling the president's previous visit and hands over to Zelenskyy. The courage and humility of that short, plainly dressed, seemingly unassuming man absolutely rifles through the rapt audience. Nothing less than that gigantic Medieval hall whose 11th Century walls stand to this day - with Richard II's magnificent hammerbeam roof a comparitively "modern" addition considering it's completion in 1397😂😂😂 The sheer portentousness is almost overpowering - I challenge you to get through it without finding you have "something or another in your eye"🥲 I'm getting goosepimples just recalling it to mind!
Not a day has gone by since 24th Feb 2022 that I haven't written something about or thought about the Ukrainians and that's compared to the fact there HAVE been days since the 8th September that I haven't thought of Her Late Majesty!
Anyway thank you for your moral support - as the general said, perhaps the most important thing is that our collective wish to see that hideous tyrant gone is translated to a clear statement to that effect by our leaders ..

I have probably had Ukraine on my mind for 7-8,000 hours so far. Highly biased Israeli American viewpoint here... do you not understand that Israel is fighting Iran and Russia through their proxies? Ukraine knows this, and Israel knows this, and even publicly stated on the UN floor that Israel will do whatever it can for Ukraine. Hamas is funded, trained, and armed through the combined efforts of Iran and Russia, as is Hezbollah. Bibi himself is a terrible leader, not the least for trying to court Russia for years to stop funding Iran, which no one in Israel believed would ever happen, but the entire war and the mass propaganda war against Israel by again Russia, Iran, and now China is to try to remove western influences and enable Iran to establish control on the MENA.
Look, just look into this for 5 seconds. Hate Israel desperately if you want, your choice, believe every single slur against them, but that war is the *other war with Russia*. Don't be naiive about that.

It's loaded to OVERFLOWING with BS. His "wacko, wacko left that doesn't want to spend anything outside of America" is BS. For instance, the far left is keen to give aid to Gaza.

The US usually supports its allies for a while but then starts to think about how the dollar might be affected by sustained commitments. The US is very worried that attacks on Russian oil refineries are driving up the world price of oil and that this might lead to a return of inflation to the US economy. However, the withdrawal of support for Ukraine from the US means that Ukraine will loosen ties with the US, listen to the US pleas for restraint much less, increase ties with the EU, and will be less constrained in degrading Russia's capacity to earn income. The US is being driven into making hard choices and to date its strategy has been too ineffectual.

This was a great choice of interviewee and you are a very good interviewer and presenter. How very refreshing this video has been to listen to. Thank you and may God bless you both. ❤❤ Vera in Northern Ireland

Many Canadians are also wondering what would happen if Trump is elected as when he was president he didn't treat Canada as an ally.

Politicians need to remember their role. They are civilian servents. Not military. Leave military issues to military personnel/command. Even Carl Von Clausewitz mentions this in his book "On War."

It’s so demoralizing watching the US and the Western Allies ‘pussyfooting’ around in their support of Ukraine. Two things to remember: Point 1: The Art of War - Sun Tzu - Waging War: 6) There is no instant move of a country having benefited from prolonged conflict. 19) In war, then, let your great objective be victory, not lengthy campaigns.
Point 2: “The Soviet understands only one language; action, respects only one word; force” - Dean Acheson

If the US sends it old weapons to Ukraine and replaces its stock with new, it avoids having to dismantle old stock,it provide employment for US employees, it helps the keep Ukraine stay alive.
    US gains. Ukraine gains.

Totally agree with the general. One bit that worried me (and himself too!). When he asked whether America would support Ukraine after the elections (and in case Trump wins I presume), he hesitated and didn't say what he thinks is true, but what he hopes is true.
I am afraid of that part (as probably pro-Ukrainians, Ukrainians and pro-western way of live),
and to see him saying it like that makes me more anxious now. (Not his fault of course! He is in the same boat as we are)

Spectacular, i think if we had him & Hodges in current leadership, we would be doing so much better as western civilization. I’ve supported America First policies, I think borders & citizenship must be much more protected, and I think we need foreign entanglements to be much more restrained… with focus on improved cooperation with legit allies, and the defense of Ukraine, the punishment of Russian aggression against a legit democracy, against Europe & the “West”, is crucial & profoundly consequential!
