- I went to Glendale, Ohio on Sunday to what I could catch on Memorial Day eve. I was rewarded with 8 trains, the first 4 are featured here. This is part 1 of this trip.
All trains are Northbound, we got both CSX and NS trains here. The big stars of the night is the appearance of an all white Canadian National locomotive that I suspect is on its way to the paint shop for a new look. Then we have a Kansas City Southern "Southern Belle" locomotive on the number 3 spot on a CSX train.
Thanks for watching! - Zábava
It was so fantastic to see a white locomotive. It made my day. Enjoyed all the mixture of cars as well. Many thanks.
You`re welcome, Robina! Have a great day!
Great trains in Glendale. Long trains. Kansas City Southern. CN Locomotive on the way to the paint shop. Take care Scott. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it. ❤
You`re very welcome, Margie! I`m glad you liked it!
An EMD ghost. Those KCS units really stand out. You caught some excellent Glendale action, I enjoyed it greatly. Thanks Scott!
Glad you enjoyed it, P! Hope you had a great Memorial Day!
That white locomotive was sure different. You are probably right about it headed for a paint shop. When we were in North Idaho, ever so often BNSF would be running a Kansas City Southern locomotive.
I`ve been to Idaho once in my life. I was in Cour de Lene for a few hours before I had to drive to Kenewick, Washington. It was very pretty in Idaho!
@@1960gambit we actually lived about 15 miles north of Coeur d'Alene for the last 18 years orxso.
The sunshine makes the colors and characters pop . thanks for the great photography
Glad you like them, Tom! Have a great Memorial Day!
That was a sweet CSX mixed manifest with a mid-train DPU. I liked the steel beams, rebar and the new box car with no graffiti. It looked very nice! A great catch, Scott, and I truly appreciated it. 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it Gary! Hope you had a great Memorial Day!
@@1960gambit Thanks, Scott. I hope you did too.
Have an awesome first week of June!! 🙋♂🙋♂☺☺
Thanks so much, you do the same!
I saw a ghost train! Saw Frank too made my day Scott! I heard a defect detector the other day say train going too slow! Ive never heard that before. Super long trains # 2 3 & 4 The Kansas City Southern is a lovely looking loco isnt she. Fab video Scott, thank you. ❤😊👍
Lol, I saw a ghost too Carol! I hear the defect detector say the train is moving too slow from time to time. If the train is too slow, the detector can`t count the axles. KCS locomotives are very colorful. I like them a lot!
Good morning Scott I hope you’re having a good morning my friend, awesome video this morning. Have a good week.
Thanks Bill, I hope you have had a great Memorial Day!
What an awesome train 🚆 video from Scott. I loved it, especially the CN and KCS locomotives 🚂. Many thanks for sharing your videos with us.😊
You`re very welcome, I`m glad you liked it!
Awesome. Catch. With. White. Engine. That. Cool

I really like the colors on the KCS locomotives. They look really cool!
Yeah. It. Kind. Hour. Hour. Half. To. Go. Kansas. City to. See. Kansas City. Southern. Engine. They. Got. Wild. Color
NS trains were 122 & 142. The CN engine is getting rebuilt in Muncie. And 142 was 177 cars. Have a Happy Memorial Day Scott!
Thanks Zach! Have a great Memorial Day too!
Thank You Scott nice catch and an albino too
You bet, Steve!
Awesome hunting 🔝🫵🏼🚂🔥
Thanks GEVO! Have a great Memorial Day!

Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in Glendale, Ohio, I like them, they're awesome, I got to see the BNSF894, an extremely old BNSF Warbonnet, along with the CSX M332 in Union City, Indiana, @1960gambit, Scott, thank you very much and happy late-Memorial Day.
Thanks Ivan and I hope you had a great Memorial Day!
@@1960gambit Thanks, and same to you too.
Never seen a white loco! Some gondola cars no graffiti!!

Thank you very much, Jim! Have a great Memorial Day!
Thanks, Scott, great Memorial Day Train video, job well done my friend. be safe tonight, we are under tornado watch until 11 pm tonight, so far the sun is out and it is a bit cooler, so we maybe ok for tonight. Later Scott.
We had a tornado watch here at my house last night that came out around midnight till 6 AM today. We got a little thunder and some rain and that was about it. Hope the bad stuff misses you!
@@1960gambit Our tornado watch last 2 hours and was cancelled by 6:30 pm, total flop, lol Frontal boundary was off USA coast by 7 pm.
All right Scott you got some good catches there Sunday night but anyway, my friend another awesome video and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one. Oh, and happy memorial day to you too brother.
Thanks Timmy! Happy Memorial Day to you too!
Looked like you filmed some of the shots from what used to be the British pub at Glendale, the Cock and Bull. In the 1970s I often had Sunday lunch at the original Bull Inn at Stoney Stratford in the UK. That they used to say was where the Cock and Bull story first started. Two pubs in Stoney Stratford were both on the same street and were the Bull Inn and the Cock Inn. No idea how true it is but they say that stories told in one pub would be retold in the other until they became so embellished with additions that they were unbelievable!
Thanks for another great video from Ohio. Looking forward to the next one!
Thanks so much, Rod! Yes, I`ve heard that same story about how the "Cock and Bull story" saying got its name. They actually had a sign inside the old Cock and Bull that explained how that saying came about and it is pretty much the same thing you said here. Have a great day!
nice dear
A primer coat was my first guess
That`s what I thought too. I found out from a friend it is going to Muncie, Indiana to be painted.
👍👍! Good trains.
Thanks Joker! 😁
Awesome catch.
Thanks Chris!
enough poles on the move Sunday!! and Scott coke is cooked coal so technically it is coal just processed!! that CN engine i like it! wouldn't mind more of those roaming around in the least! refreshing not to have a big ass logo on the side! and a good rule of thumb, if the axle count is over 610 620 count on a DPU lurking somewhere in the mix!
I knew coke was burnt coal. The ratio of it to coal 1 to 4. It takes 4 hopper cars of coal to produce 1 hopper car of coke after they burn the impurities out. That stuff is very light weight too. I have found several pieces of it by the tracks, and it is amazing how light a big piece of it is.
@@1960gambit just being a bit of a smart ass there Scott that mood tends to come out of nowhere especially when there's an open bottle of single malt around!!
Fantastic Film Scott! Specially on CN 5656!! Congratulations on 12K subscribers!!!
Thank you very much, TrainMan!
A very good CSX mixed manifest to start with, Scott. It was long with a nice variety of cars. I don't know, but I have an idea about the white primer on the locomotive. Could it be they're going to repaint it as a heritage unit? I think black and red would be hard to change colors on. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
I was told by a friend that they are going to rebuild it in Muncie, Indiana.
@@1960gambit Interesting. 😋
You got some good catch’s there. Congratulations again on 12,000 subs
Thanks Greg! That white locomotive was a surprise!
@@1960gambit For sure.
Something scared the engine on the first train white. Lol
If something did, then I don1`t want to run into it either! Lol
It's an albino locomotive!
That it is!
Another good long mixed manifest, Scott! It had a good variety of freight. The highlight for me was the KCS locomotive. They are absolutely beautiful! I was wondering, how long do ties last before they need replaced? 🤔 Another fabulous catch on a long train evening! Thanks, Scott. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
I like the KCS locomotives too. The colors are really sharp! I honestly don`t know on the ties, but I would think that 10 to 15 years wouldn`t be too far off before they get replaced.
@@1960gambit Thanks, Scott.
tie life depends on the weather and traffic on the line normally 12 to 15 years on average!
@@keithmoore5306 Thanks, Keith. 😊
@@garymiller5937 not a problem!
Scott did you hear the Seaboard Coast Line heritage unit came out
Yes I did. It looks pretty sweet!
@@1960gambit I'm still waiting for the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie heritage unit to come out
Good made video, mr 1960 Gambit.
A locomotive in primary paintthat means that NS have to short locomotives in use. But the other locomotive of KCS not much seen on video's. No tornado's in Ohio a read over tornado's in Oklahoma and Kentucky and two other federal states on the news bulletins here in the Netherlands. Topvideo 🚆🚆🚆👍👍💪💪👌🚆 thx.
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Thanks Roelof. Yes, we got lucky last night in the weather department. We had a little rain and thunder, but no really bad stuff for a change!
