On board MSC Preziosa we enjoy a Northland cruise to Iceland on Whitsun 2023! Starting from Hamburg, we visit Invergordon in Scotland, Reykjavik, Ísafjörður and Akureyri in Iceland as well as the picturesque Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands. In this episode we take you to the famous Goðafoss. The bus takes us through the beautiful Icelandic landscape for about 45 minutes before we take a leisurely look at this dreamlike waterfall. Back in Akureyri we visit the botanical garden. This is the oldest of its kind in Iceland and with almost 7000 plant species it is amazingly diverse. On the way back to the ship, we get to know a special feature of the town: The heart traffic lights, where the red stop signal has been replaced by a red heart. Back on board we enjoy the departure from Akureyri before this wonderful day ends for us with another delicious dinner in the service restaurant. We hope you enjoy watching!

Es erinnert an unsere eigene Island-Kreuzfahrt vor ein paar Jahren.
Der Godafoss ist einer der schönsten Wasserfälle, die ich gesehen habe.
Wenn man schon mal in Akureyri ist und sich für die vulkanische Seite Islands interessiert, empfehle ich den größeren Ausflug, der außer dem Godafoss noch das Solfataren-Gebiet Namaskard und die Lavaformationen von Dimmuborgir zeigt. Absolut beeindruckend.
Ich weiß nicht, ob MSC den anbietet. Wir waren mit TUI-Cruises unterwegs und hatten eine hervorragende deutschsprachige Reiseleiterin.
