That "desk" by the window would make such a lovely window seat, just get some foam cut to size for it with a nice throw over and a few pillows for you back it would be such a sweet chill place to kick back and read a few books. Love your room have a great year :)

We got really, really lucky here in Connecticut with regard to that hurricane. It ended up being much ado about nothing because it changed course a little bit at the last minute. But it was definitely the only thing being talked about at the time.

I would recommend getting closer to 2 1/2 weeks worth of food and supplies for post hurricanes if you have no way of getting out.

I know this takes you time to edit and stuff so this is from ages ago (yo living and school comes first hey!! good good) its so funny hearing you say it was winter when you left Australia - because as I'm sure you heard Christmas day was so god damn HOT. Though it's a lovely 30c in Perth now.
Oh also - you do know stuff from your first year. You're the queen of zoom! Actually not that bad of a skill to have for work even pre-pandemic.

Is it common for most people to live on campus ? Like in Australia I feel like we just drive to uni each day rather than stay on campus ? Like so much cheaper living at home ahah and its like a 40 min drive to uni from home
It's pretty common, it's a part of the "college experience" here!
I didn't live on campus because I was able to commute and it was cheaper to split the rent of an apartment than deal with roommates on campus.
