I’ve actually tried for so long to imitate his voice and have gotten pretty close today singing over the mountain with a isolating instrumental track , maybe I can send you a snippet of it

Yeah, sometimes they cough and stuff while recording. Most of the time they cut the track volume in between lines, but they may not have done that with this song.
Yeah back in the day people would press record and your sing the track all the way through, then go back and record doubles and such. Whenever you sing you’ll get little bits of spit and phlegm that get into your throat passage that you need to clear. It’s better to swallow it because it kinda wears out your throat doing the clearing thing like most people do it, but when you’re recording sometimes there isn’t enough time to swallow.
@@SabastianDuke Yeah, I notice myself when I go busking especially during a humid day that I have to spit (yeah its gross) because swallowing makes me miss at least a full measure and sometimes you can't do that.

I know you wrote this two years ago, so you probably already know the answer. This is not a reverse delay effect. What you're hearing is an artifact of the tape being stored for a long period of time and the magnetic particles being transfered. Think of it as a pencil smudge which gives the illusion of hearing it before you hear it. Best I can do given my limited knowledge of physics, but having worked with tape for many years.
Love Randys playing but i wish it wasn't there on the solo section.. I'll have to chop it out and use melodyne to stretch the second yeah and recreate the third yeah and fade..
Fred This depends on the song. If the vocals are centered and the instruments pan across the stereo left to right, there are tools built in to isolate or remove vocals from a song. Otherwise most isolated tracks get ripped from rock band games
That's WAY better than I thought it would be.
@Andrew Grey That's not true. What's your beef?

Yeah, sometimes they cough and stuff while recording. Most of the time they cut the track volume in between lines, but they may not have done that with this song.
also you can hear he's listening to a playback of his vocal. and some of it is him mumble repeating to himself.
