This is the most supportive thing about CZcams when people without financial resources (in the world) to pay for a concert of this quality have the possibility of watching it and culturalizing their souls. Greetings from Santiago of Chile 🇨🇱, South America.
Completely agree! 😊
I was so confused when they played 4th concerto as the intro
i mean, in my opinion the forth is the best, maybe it is also in the editor's opinion ahah
I was also confused, and @@robertomarano9075, I agree with you, especially the presto movememt

@@vishy8909 Harnonkourt said the 6th is the best? That's very interesting. One of the figures I revere the most when it comes to Bach.
Humans are capable to so much beauty, it always brings a tear to my eyes. Thank you
I'm relaxing at the Bach of my seat with this sweet music!
Absolutely delightful! It's good to see musicians so clearly enjoying themselves. Their enthusiasm is quite contagious.

Hallo Herr Bach
No hay palabras para describir esta música... Una maraviilla del barroco.
Came for the Bach
Stayed for the dancing
Warmheartedly keyed.
@@Dave5400 Once you go baroque, you never go Bach
@@entemusicarchive I think you wanted to say you *always* go Bach
I went through all the performances of the Brandenburg Concerts available on CZcams. This is by far the best. You are immersed in a barock atmosphere as nowhere else. True artists who are giving their best. Touching.
^^^^
Its baroque
@@liamwebb8918 it's it's :-)
How can you tell it is the best? Are you J.S. Bach? It is the one you prefer, that's all!
Yes, it is, by far.
For me, it's always the hornists that make or break this concerto, these two masters were a rare find, absolutely amazing. So much so, I had to look them up -- Teunis van der Zwart and Erwin Wieringa. So glad this is online. Thank you.
Same... the horns make it.
@@dan78789 , and just curious, what instrument do you play, pray tell?
The HORNIEST! HAHAHAHA
Also the horn in the front is really sexy and that's a plus
This is the only of the 6 Brandenburg Concertos to score the hunting horns.
Classical music is a sublime conversation between composer and listener. The notes, carefully crafted by masterminds like Bach and Haydn, resonate across centuries, inviting us to engage in a dialogue with the profound emotions and ideas embedded in each piece. It's a conversation that spans cultures, generations, and the very essence of the human experience.
Fantastic playing! Such virtuosic natural horn playing.
That's what you get from Baroque instruments, often called "natural" instruments. No plastic, no rubber, no artificial products at all, or at least no modern components. The only exception to that might be the reeds, since the original reed might be hard, if not impossible to replicate, due to the rarity of components. The small metal mouth pieces of some of the horns might be modern as well. But that's really all.
I'm sure even the violins, violas, cello, and double bass are 99.9% authentic. Again, things like the bridges, might be baroque in style and design, but made from more modern woods, as well as components of the bows, though I'm not really sure on bows since I know less about bows.
People playing the Violin arent only playing it. They are living it.

When I was playing, I never developed the body English many performers seem to have.
Looks to me like they’re actually just playing it.
I was saved by classical music!
As a teen I was so depressed but once I started listening to beautiful music!
I felt so much Joy!

Beautiful!
The 2nd Mvt., one of my all time favorite compositions.
I am in Berlin for a few days and I walked through the Brandenburg gates yesterday, I simply wanted to celebrate Bach and his concerto. Thank-you Google for referring me to the Freiburger Barokorchester.

Excellent job boys
Estevan Hinojosa We both are old men by now, lol! thank you (and all others) for the complement though. I still use this recording regularly to prepare, when I play this on concerts (like today)
Erwin Wieringa No problem I really enjoy this piece and this one in particular. Great sounds

Oh my gosh - this is wonderful! One of the very best renditions that I have ever heard, just magic.

Sehr schön.
Really like this performance. The wind parts sound effortless even though they are fiendishly difficult.
Wow, those horn players are spectacular. Playing Brandenburg 1 on any horn is difficult, but on natural horns? The harmonics of natural horns really add to this piece. Lovely. Oh yeah, the horn/oboe quintet is wonderful.
Wunderbar! The trio of horns and oboes sounds like something Bach wrote to entertain his little ones. I see 2, 3 and 4 year olds dancing around just like they do today when there is something catchy on the radio.
Absolutely
Music that lifts up the fallen soul of mortals to it's original state of bliss and joy.

This rendition is absolutely superb!
The second movement lives up to its categorical nomenclature, ADAGIO, for it is one of the saddest, yet strangely and langurously august pieces, ever composed by mere mortal...
Makes me happy.
Thank you very much, thank you very much, for offering us the greatest music that has been composed in the history of music.
Echt Bach ,met een intieme bezetting . Zuiver helder en sereen.Freiburger Baroque Orchester .Super
Bach with have been pleased and honored with this fabulous tribute. Thanks you!
My mother was a violinist in orchestras in Illinois, South Dakota, Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, France, and Korea. I still live in he 120+ year old Victorian she bought about 3 decades ago due to the 12 foot ceilings and wide large archway. She played with friends on a regular basis with our piano, a second violin, a cello in many combos. Her love of music rubbed off on me. She played Bach most often.
While I don't have a favorite composer, much like my mother, the Brandenburg Concertos have always been a favorite, along with Vivaldi's four season. I especially love when it's done on period instruments, which this entire chamber orchestra seems to be using. Andnot just because it's called the Baroque Orchestra since that doesn't always mean period instruments.
Very well done.
Such beautiful music. I am overwhelmed to think this masterpiece was the work of one man. Genius just doesn't seem enough.
Such a wonderful performance, and such a delight to see the musicians in the video. Nicely done!
Outstanding playing, such an natural feel from all the musicians.
Extraordinary interpretation with ancient instruments and tecniques. The location is in Cothen, where Bach used to work and live with his enlarging family.
These musicians played this concerto as it was meant to be played with enthusiasm and passion. A masterpiece by Bach. The female lead violinist is gorgeous, she looks like Irene Papas.
I've just found this having heard it this morning on Classic FM. Yes, she is gorgeous, is it just me, or did the camera man spend a lot of time focusing on her magnificent decolletage ? :0)
Every time I listen to this I feel like I notice something new. One of my favorite things to listen to is the bassoon and low strings carrying the bass movement and just sounds soo nice. Also, I find it interesting that the “historically accurate” horn playing would be with the hand out of the bell. But with the hand in the bell and doing hand stopping, like these hornists are doing, the sound is so much warmer and rounder. So even though it might not be how Bach’s orchestra would have done it, I love the horn sound much more. Bravo to the whole orchestra for this flawless interpretation :)
Unequivocally gorgeous horn playing.
Such joy to my senses- the opening allegro.Vunderbar und danke.
a masterpiece, forever Bach ❤️
9:06 - 9:35 Check out how Bach takes (almost) the same material from the B section and moves it to a completely different place in 11:40.
I Love Mr.j.s.Bach my Favorite Classical composer 4Ever.
Amazing performers and mad horn players! Thank you for posting
I LOVE THIS PIECE! I'd first heard it back in 1976 on a record I'd purchased as a set of classical music by the various composers!

Yes, indeed wonderful playing--so moving.
Great horn playing!
Agreed the first horn part in this composition is especially strenuous.
Yes indeed. And I don't see any valves. How can they play those scale passages without valves?

Horny bach
Yes. Especially because they are baroque horns and don't have valves. The notes are changed manually with the right hand, which is positioned under the bell.
Excellent sound recording and camera work. You can see and hear the horns and all the other instruments loud and clear. Thanks for uploading!
So fabulous and magnetically attractive to the mind! I relish to hear this over many times!👑❤️🌹👍

I admit I am a complete newbie when it comes to classical music in terms of knowing the 1st from the 4th from the 6th🤦🏽♀️ but what I do know is I love this music 😍alwayssss enjoy the classical orchestra performances I've been blessed to get to witness, and I admire EVERYONE who commented on this particular comment, because it's very impressive to a newbie to classical music like me ❣️
Lauren, welcome to the wonderful world of classical music. As you listen to it more and more, you will automatically gain knowledge. why? because you are open minded and you start from a position of just loving what you hear. Listen to it every day and you will find yourself loving it even more. I started out just listening to the classics, mozart symphonies Bach like this one but after something like 30 years came back to it again and this time I have delved much deeper thanks to you tube. For instance I never liked opera but a few years ago started to listen to various aria's. beautiful arias, then went back to regular concerto's etc but found myself missing the beautiful singing voices to go along with the great music. every day you discover something new. It has become a spiritual thing for me, it draws you closer to the divine. The sheer unimaginable beauty of it, the perfection of it, she sheer joy it brings and peace of course. At least for me. Here is a good example, I did not know Vivaldi did operas, but this is part of one czcams.com/video/B9YdKNUO42A/video.html and another one, just this short one czcams.com/video/UO76d3UK6Lc/video.html listen to this part 02:00 - Sit nomen Domine (Largo) but really the whole thing is great along with about 10,000 others. it is truly limitless
Fantastic!
Clearly the best rendition of Brandenburg Concerto 1 I have heard (and seen) to date. Fluid and flawless throughout. The camera angles were superb. The viewer has an immersive experience of actually being at the performance. A+
This is awesome.

To me, the 4th movement (Menuetto) is the grand finale to this monumental work.
A música Clássica, além de acalmar e relaxar, nos proporcionam momentos de paz interior e uma sensação de estar flutuando. No caso dessa parte uma obra prima, melodia maravilhosa e um certo deslizar por entre os acordes. Maravilhoso.
Faz vibrar cada célula do nosso corpo
A invenção musical em êxtase sonoro!
I've just realised why Bach's orchestral music output was relative small. Nobody in his day could play it!!
This is not easy music and this orchestra absolutely nail it. Wonderful musicianship, wonderful music written 300 years ago. How much of today's sub standard rubbish will last as long. My guess is very, very little.
If you look at what Bach wrote for his instruments in his 200+ surviving vocal works, you will see he did have access to some great players.
Very good horns, bravo!!! 👏👏👏
Aquí es un diálogo muy bonito entre el concertino es precioso el tema que lo inicia la flauta de Bec ella es una especialista en este instrumento cómo le responde el violín que también es una gran violinista y luego pasa al clave es fantástico saludos
