This has to be one of the only videos I’ve seen in the past couple years that it’s objective enough so as not be just a bunch of unsupported personal opinions. And I must have watched hundreds! Keep it up!
Loved this channel, presents objective analysis with great statistical comparisons which addresses my common gripe with purely subjective opinion based reviews. My only suggestion is to add a disclosure disclaimer on par with other review channels
Damn another great insights video, thanks. Imo even sports shoes brand would be interested in what you do. I bet many would be wiling to pay for the data you can provide. Great job and will be waiting for lots more hopefully!
I have the Nimbus, Novablast, and Deviate Nitro. The Novablast and Deviate Nitro are both quite versatile, with the Novablast leaning more towards max cushioned but able to pick up the pace. The Deviate Nitro feels like not a lot of shoe on foot but I regularly do 10 milers and it provides plenty of cushion. Nimbus is mostly a cruiser.
I just tried in the store the Novablast 3 and the Nimbus 26 (Both by ASICS) I own the ASICS Gel Trabuco FF Turbo, and they are fantastic. The Gel Nimbus is lighter, super cushiony and for my first marathon seems the perfect shoe! I'll say more after I run with them. So far I highly recommend it.
I LOVE your shoes' revviews. Could you incorporate in the site more reviews of topo Athletic and Altra last models? I think both brand deserve more attention. Thanks!!
4 Altra shoe reviews were published in January and we have another two soon to be tested. You can see the shoe pipeline here: runrepeat.com/shoe-pipeline. Unfortunately Topo isn't used by enough runners for it to make sense for us at the moment :(
@@anshmehta7152 with my US 9.5 i feel like its the novablast 3, With a little more roomy feel at the toe box for my foot to plant itself well, Although the deviate nitro 2 is such a great shoe. Overtime (at 150+ km) im starting to feel the firmer carbon composite plate on the foot on the longer runs
Thanks a lot for such a nice explanation👍🏼 I had an achilles tendon surgery with total tear diagnosis 4 months ago, now I searching for shoes for daily use, walking I mean. Like I saw in site, You were recommending with high heel drop, but there is one case, that I had in past meniscus tear surgeries on my both knees as well. Thats why, can You help me with choice? Thanks a lot again🤝🏼
Surprised on the flexibility of the Nike Pegasus. I really like the Puma Liberate Nitro for the flexibility. Do you know how that compares and any other similar shoes. For context, I like running in Nike Free Runs (prefarably Flyknit 3.0 from 2015)
Asics fan here gel nimbus 25 for my daily lifestyle shoe, Also my New Balance super comp trainer v1 and v2 are my favorite of all shoes and I have many.........
Thanks for thorough analysis. Personally I felt Pegasus is not that good for tempo runs, not even close. I like it for fast walking and maybe jogs but its far from their best for good temp runs.
@@atmavictu2995 no issues. I also have wide feet so mine is half size bigger. I also use running socks from kiprun and runner’s knot. I think those helped.
Tried the Novablast 3 because of all the positive reviews and it absolutely didn't work for me. It felt like the front part of the sole was just too narrow, as if my foot wasn't supported or just at a small part of the foot. And it wasn't like it felt too small in size. Just the sole felt strange. That goes to show how individual the choice of a shoe is.
I agree with that. Every foot is different, every feeling is different, every running style is different. It is very helpful to have an objective analysis. However, it is much more helpful to try on and test several shoes subjectively. It is just as helpful to buy more than just 1 pair of running shoes so that you have variety. As a beginner or infrequent runner, 2 pairs are sufficient; as an advanced runner, it can even be more. It doesn't always have to be the test winner that suits you best.
Maybe! But I have around 600 km on my Novablasts 3 and I love them! I am now in the market for both SuperBlast and Novablast 3 haha. But the Novablast is 50% cheaper here in Holland.
Best stability shoe is the Saucony Tempus, no debate here. Best daily trainer is DEFINITELY NOT Pegasus, being one of the worst in the market. This sounds very very suspicious.
The most underrated running channel!
it's all passion
The website is incredible for finding shoes

Do you have the deviate nitro 1 or 2?
@@Tommygimbal Deviate Nitro 2. It's my favorite shoe of 2023; over 500 miles and still in my rotation.
Great review! Which is a better shoe for walking- Peg 40 or Velocity Nitro 2?

Thank chatgpt, that was honestly a bit cringe
For me Best stability shoe is kayano gel 30
best run shoes video
Hi, thanks for your review and insights on the different running shoes. I am a beginner, what would you recommend for wide feet ? Thanks.
Brooks divide 4 is super comfy with a large toe box but relatively firm cushioning.
Brooks Ghost Max might also work.
Deviate Nitro 2, the most versatile 🔥

I was considering the Nimbus also for walking, but isn’t the it too soft and tall stacked for a daily lifestyle shoe?
nope

Dont land on your heels mate! Land on your toes!
Agree with Novablast 3 best overall

How to order Nike Pegasus40 shoe
Theres a pegasus nfl version for 55$ is that the same? (May 2024)
Having a Pegasus and over 300 KM in it, it's durable and reliable. Barely scratched the outsoles. It's truly has the value for money.

Nike Pegasus has my 4e extra wide toe box size.

Its clear that you have a problem with New Balance, as you didn't mention any of their shoes, even though they are better than Asics shoes
