I'm still using the two that I have for my cooking videos and a few other projects. Have two of the original Tilta camera rigs too. Awesome little camera. I plan to buy two more for multi-cam shoots now that I know you can find bargains like this. Thanks for bringing this to light!
With the OG prices creeping up so closely to the 4K prices, it's a much harder sell to buy an OG these days. Even if you find a $400 OG, it's a way easier to recommend a used GH5, or C100 MK1, unless you just really need RAW. Although I guess it really depends on what you're shooting.
Even for 500 which is more common, its still a steal ! but good on you for finding the bargains.

Great video Will. Another thing to check before buying is the IR Cut filter. Sometimes it can get "fogged up" and need replacing.

I still have my BMPCC, bought in 2015 approximately... Got it on eBay for 500 dollars from a Golf Club's auction, it was second hand but brand new basically. I still think it's one of the best cameras I've ever had, very happy with my purchase to this day. Cheers!
I have had maybe 8 of these cameras over the years, never had one that came dead. Worst one was seller had a return after original buyer jammed the SD Card in backwards, had to perform surgery and replace the card slot.

I have the opposite problem. I've bought several cameras (not BM), that are good as new but there's something wrong with the them either intermittent or not obvious. For instance currently I have sent a camera twice back to manufacture for service. First for a back focus issue and now for random sensor glitch.
proper working one is closer to $500; worth every penny
I picked one up for $500 a few months ago. The hdmi port is nonfunctional and there is no electronic communication with the lens. So be careful. It’s still a great camera with a manual lens, but these really need a proper monitor.
Hello! You said that this is the best camera for budget film production, please tell me. I have a collection of 7x10mm coated lenses, which camera should I choose - bmcc 2.5k or og? What real resolution will these cameras have when using this small area? After all, they have the same sensor.

Yes, any gimbal will work but you likely cannon control/power via the gimbal unless it uses standard LANC and 12v power. As far as actually balancing and using with the Gimbal it is perfect for that given how small and light it is 👍🏻
