Hi guys! I just discovered your channel and I love that sometimes you review Licca chan dollies as not many English speakers do and when they do they have little knowledge about them and and the brand in general.
That being said there are some pointers I would like to give you because I can see you guys truly love and appreciate the brand and the quality and these are not really the higher quality Licca chan dolls there are out there, those are the vintage Takara playline ones and nowadays the "Licca Castle" dolls which are still manufactured in Japan in the old Takara factory/museum, sometimes they are expensive as they are literally hand crafted by the old Japanese Takara staff, but rarely do they go over 100 dollars unless they are reproductions of the vintage generations, ever since the Takara brand was bought and merged with TOMY the quality of Licca chan has gone downhill, but the prices have gone trough the roof, I have never seen a single "Made in China" Licca doll with a quality comparable to a Takara made in Japan one, even the vintage playline ones are 10 times better than the so called luxury/collection ones that TOMY produces nowadays.
The most notable quality issues I can notice right away with the Chinese TOMY dolls are the plastic, hair and coloring, Japanese Takara dolls have a peachy/rosey undertone to their skin and the plastic is softer and noticeably of higher quality grade, their hair fiber is a higher quality and rarely has frizz even on abused and played with second hand dolls and can be easily restored by a boil wash and it comes back to life and to the original style right away, also the faces of the Takara ones are even cuter and have a more gentle look to them, the Chinese made dolls ALL have a grayish undertone to them regardless of the skin color of the doll and the model, the plastic feels cheaper and has a weird shine on the torso and it simply feels cheaper and waxy to the touch also the vintage playline dolls have more details to their clothing and better quality fabrics were used, if you guys really want to experience a high quality Licca chan doll buy a Castle one or a vintage playline made by TAKARA not Takara/TOMY.
The vintage playline ones are quite cheap and easy to get in Yahoo Japan especially if in played with condition and as part of a lot and the castle Liccas sometimes are listed quite cheaply on Ebay it's a question of perseverance, if you guys love the current Liccas you will be over the moon with the Takara ones simply look for the made in Japan in the box sometimes the person selling them will specify as Licca collectors are very aware of the difference, I own both Takara and Takara TOMY dolls and can tell you the difference is very noticeable I even own this same doll you guys are reviewing here and her face has nothing on the vintage playline ones I was specially dissatisfied with the dark eyebrows with platinum blonde hair and the lack of attention to the correct placement of her blushing...
I would highly recommend you getting 2nd hand vintage dolls they can be found cheaply and are even lovelier than the newly produced ones.

Also back in the day they were more affordable and came with lots more accessories...
Look on the second hand market and the vintage ones they are cheaper and way better you won't regret it!

I feel new doll brands are investing where collectors and parents are most disappointed - quality.
Toys from 90's and earlier 00s used to have so much quality and suddlenly that was vanished, around 5-7 years ago. The most notorious one is Mattel with Barbie. They are just horrible now, but with Licca, MGM and Rainbow High things are getting so intense.
Here in Brazil is quite hard to find Licca, but I'm liking what I'm seeing.
The lace details of her unnderwear, the coat, shoes, bags ... everything is so nice.
