    Nothing like giving yourself a tax break, Hunts property rental empire gets a tax break, Sunaks family company gets a billion pound contract with an oil company and now has a big tax break. How can we let this go on?

      The fiat system doesn't want poor people doing well for themselves
      It needs them to stay poor and take jobs with low wages so corporations can keep profit margins higher
      If poor people start doing well for themselves the system turns communist increases taxes to take wealth away from the people
      One reason why this country is in a mess is Government mismanagement
      US FED money printing and exporting it's inflation
      All will be reset probably before 2030 with a new system,a surveillance CBDC
      Jobs will be taken by robots and AI and millions of people will be on a universal basic income

    Reducing the National Insurance by 2 percentage points is NOT a tax cut - or at least it shouldn't be. National Insurance is [or was] supposed to be for provision of our State Pensions! No wonder the so-called pension pot is short of funds today - nobody is paying in what they used to do, to help us all in our old age. Of course the "super rich" don't need it, that's why National Insurance has been cut. This seems to me the beginning of the Tories phasing out the State Pension altogether!!

    • @alexfrye6
      @alexfrye6 Před 9 měsíci +3

      National insurance doesn't pay for anything in particular it's just another tax. There's no special pot of spending and there's certainly no pot of reserves. Logically they should just scrap national insurance and increase income tax to compensate, we don't need two taxes on income.

Our national health service is not only being privatised against the wishes of the vast majority of its users - the working class - it has been deliberately underfunded to make it less attractive. Increases in NHS funding are vastly below inflation and below what is needed.
      "If UK spending per person had matched the EU14 average, then the UK would have spent an average of £227bn a year on health between 2010 and 2019 - £40bn higher than actual average annual spending (£187bn). Over the past decade, the UK had a lower level of capital investment in health care compared with the EU14 countries for which data are available. Between 2010 and 2019, the average health capital investment in the UK was £5.8bn a year. If the UK had matched other EU14 countries’ average investment in health capital (as a share of GDP), the UK would have invested £33bn more between 2010 and 2019 (around 55% higher than actual investment during that period)."
