How to Draw an X-wing Fighter

Another great video. I have never tried something as complex as this but I did as lot but did a lot of mechanical drawing back in the day as a machinist. They weren't great but at the time I was the only one following them because I was the one making them. These lessons and Matt's lessons would have been a great help on perspective.

Ive been drawing for about a year now and my progress seems really slow. Would you suggest a book? I enjoy most all types drawing except figure drawing.
