      I´m sorry for being harsh, but you´re a fool writing that. These are guys fighting for their lives to pursue a career in this sport, and it is 100% understandable that players in Prihodkos shoes take that point rather than being "sportsmanlike". Secondly, the yell itself, even tough it´s hindrance, did not change anything. So technically, justice was actually done, even though the umpire made a mistake.

For Kyrgios, he loses at least the following set if not the whole match because his small little brain cannot focus on more than one thing and his childlike rage makes that one thing the umpire rather than the match. When Paire smashed those 2 balls out of the court for a ball abuse violation, you could see the linesman as well as the ball girl flinch a bit. That was very close to them and could have been dangerous if it had hit her (as she was more in line of the hit). The other one was when Gulbis threw the racket at the net, the ball girl was close (she was so tiny too, she's barely taller than the net). Imagine the racket hitting her. Penalty for gear abuse of this kind needs to be more severe if it is this close to ground staff.

      No he knows the rule, he's just saying it's too difficult to stare at the ball and make a decision on whether to stop play while trying to actually play the point.

      @@cole7726 well that same logic applies to challenges as well.... If he thought it was out... Being clay... As per the rules... He is allowed to ask the umpire to come down and check the mark at any time.. And unlike challenges you can do that any number of times on a clay court

    Commentators are so wrong on the Kyrgios match. Player shouldn’t be responsible for making sure they hit the ball and stay engaged into the match and then have to call their own lines and face having it overturned on them because it happens on the clay. Just get the damn Hawkeye. Are they not making all that much money to invest in their tournaments? Players have enough going on

    I'm not much into tennis, but why do they have such ancient ways to tell if a ball is out or not. Seems to be 95% of the problems in tennis that the human calling the shots are doing wrong calls. Why not use one of the cameras filming the whole damn match, like in hockey. Wouldn't been a single wrong point then.

    • @lespaul5734
      @lespaul5734 Před rokem

      They do use the tech, but not in every tournament. On clay courts like these, the only surface which leaves a mark from a ball, there aren't any cameras. Umpire errors exist but are few on this surface because you can check the mark. On other surfaces like grass or hard courts, there is a replay
