    I have a 97' F-250, 2 wheel drive, standard cab. I want to do the cummins swap as well. I have all the parts, but lack of time because of work is what has prevented me from getting it done. Swaps like yours help me to get inspired to complete this. The truck would only be used for towing a flatdeck and gooseneck cattle trailer.

    Very informative video, I'm starting my Cummins swap tomorrow in my 1987 F-250 gas, auto. Removing the TTB and searching for a Dana 60. Are they the factory leaf springs in front? What lift do you recommend
    For clearance of the Cummins oil pan? Thanks so much for taking the time to explain what you did. I'll keep in touch!😄😄

      Dana 60 is a much better axle and they also turn shorter than the ttb but that being said, the ttb is plenty strong enough for a 6bt Cummins engine.

    1400$ in zf5 swap parts and 600$ in a parts truck for trans mission is 2k you should have used a dodge manual trans and if the twin I beam can handle the 7.3 why can't it handle the Cummins you also missed some stuff that 90% of trucks will need if it's done right

    • @UpNorthOutdoors
      @UpNorthOutdoors  Před 4 lety +1

      like I said I'm sure I forgot some little things. I'm not a fan of dodge transmissions. The twin-I beams are absolute garbage. Even if you just had a 7.3 I'd recommend the swap. They just don't hold up. Especially if you want to run anything bigger than stock tires and don't want to spend 95% of your time in the alignment shop. I also spent $600 on the parts truck because like I said I got lucky and the guy didn't realize he had a $1200 axle sitting under it.

    • @UpNorthOutdoors
      @UpNorthOutdoors  Před 3 lety
