Living the dream. That sail from Monterey to Morro Bay can be an exciting one. At least you are travelling down hill. Stay safe.
Love that down hill ride!
Really good episode! Pretty good weather on the way down. Having done this passage both ways going down is easier than going back up! Enjoy California!
It was a great stretch to sail!
Nice to hear Jenny narration. Really enjoyed
Thanks for watching and for your comment! Appreciate ya!
Nolan and I watched it together... he loved the seals!
Glad you both enjoyed it! We're gonna make a sailor out of him!
Your videos came across my feed today and I immediately recognized you 2 and Disco. I was your marina neighbor at Cap Sante (O’Day 35 across from Evan).
Looking forward to catching up on your videos!
Hey Shawn great to see you on here! Thanks for checking out our channel! We are thinking about bringing Maya back up to Anacortes so maybe we'll be neighbors again! Cheers!
It is so nice to see a new video from you two! Your filming and editing is epic…looking forward to your Mexico adventures being chronicled!
Thanks so much, Ken! We're getting closer to Mexico videos! Hope to get more episodes out soon! Hope your refit is going well!
Wow Santa Cruz looked incredible!!!
It's a fun town! Thanks for watching!
Great episode…
Thanks so much!
A lot of great vid footage guys. Thankz for the share !
Cheers!
Have been missing you guys. Keep them coming!
Hey John! Been a wild 6 weeks since our last video! Between traveling south, boat work, and lots of sailing it's been a challenge to find time. I am hopeful that we'll slow our pace a bit and will be able to spend more time editing. Working on the next one now! Thanks again for everything, John- you are awesome! Cheers!
Great video. You guys are awesome. Very nice trip.
Glad you enjoyed- appreciate the comment and you watching!
Enjoyed ! Papa J
Thanks for watchin', Papa J!!
Thank you for posting, I can only imagine how much work it is to put together a video, and I am glad you do this for us your fans. I recall you installed a water maker before you went to Mexico. Are you still happy with that investment?
Thank you for the kind words! You are correct about the watermaker. We installed a power survivor 40e aboard Maya and it's been great. It's compact, low energy draw, and the most affordable model we could find. Only complaint is that the 1 gallon/hr is slow, but we just have to be a little more strategic with when we make water- often times running it for hours while on passage. It's a lifesaver down here though as many marinas do not have potable water. Water delivery services are around but it's soooo nice to not have to worry about that. Thanks for your comment and for watching!
Another research episode for us 🤣 the wife really wanted a dog lift/sling thingy so I watched yall knowing you had one too and you helped make my case of only the dog life jacket 🤣🤣🤣
Any rate now I need to hide from said wife 🤣 (kids loved the episode especially going under the bridge ^^) keep it up guys 👊👍
Hey there! The dog life jacket with a handle on the top is really key. Also having the right size dog is very helpful- Disco is 40 pounds and I think any bigger would be much more challenging. Glad you enjoyed the episode- working on the next one now!
@Cruising Maya ours is a blue heeler so I'll have to agree bigger likely wouldn't work and thanks :) Disco seems to love boat life too ^^
Were you guys out there in all this bad california weather?
This footage is from Fall of 2021 so we were not out on the coast this latest winter- been a brutal weather year!
@@CruisingMaya oh OK. It's a great video.
