I have a 2012 800 xp ranger that I've used on my ranch sense new . We use it daily for many different tasks and havent had much problems .. I have 631 hrs and a little over 1300 miles on it .. 120 miles of range in 1 day is a little much a bench mark.. My 800 isn't bad on fuel but when your working it hard or riding it hard it blows through fuel quick . I think the kinetic has a great place in the market and will be a good ranger for many people.. I sure would try one around our farm especially for fence line work and spraying weeds , lawn care etc.. Also I had to pay extra for a roof and windshield as well . Never understood that . $300 for a roof . Crazy

I can see the pluses to something like this. I think of it as a electric golf cart with a ton more capabilities. I can definitely see golf courses, high end ranches, and communities that allow ev’s on the road. There’s a couple major areas I’m curious about if they can be utilized in those fields: beach lifeguards/first responders and military. Now, beach useage, makes very good since to me and useable around crowds without be disturbing to the public. Now military, I’m not talking front line use. I’m in military aviation and we use GEM car flatbeds on flight lines. The biggest downfall is no tow capacity. These could easily make up for that.

Great idea for work on the dairy farm, plowing the driveway, keeping the chicken feed moving, working the garden etc. nice off trail support offered up in the State of Michigan. Not much in the way of even a Hill in Michigan so very practical there. Good news for Zero Motorcycles which definitely has work to do in the motorcycle market to stay relevant. CanAm definitely competing on price no problem now of course. Long $hmc Honda Motor Corporation strong buy which actually does have product people can buy and is better than anything out there still. Sounds expensive until you buy a pure BEV car or Truck and it stops working.

Looks like the rear box is a good size, which is great, as it will be needed to carry your generator, power cord, and gas can(s) as standard equipment for when this electric golf cart leaves you in deep in the woods! Lol. Nice concept for someone staying at their camp, and wants to venture out to pick up some firewood and return before it runs out of juice - then charge it at the camp. May be good on a farm or acreage as well. As Albert Einstein stated "Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it can only be transformed from one form to another". Cheers.

Probably need new batteries and tires (lot's of thorns here) It has more than enough power and distance for me. I thought the 25K I paid was ridiculous. For 50K I'd be looking at a hybrid Jeep Wrangler. Four wheel drive, full cab, heat and air (and everything else) and you can drive it on road. I plan on keeping my 2016. A new Jeep would be a little more $$, but you get a lot more.

The international space station runs on lithium-ion batteries at -250oF. Stories about cold weather battery operation are fake news. My Tesla has no trouble charging or operating in northern Wisconsin. Norway has thousands of electric cars on the road operating above the arctic circle. If you want to see a motor that is difficult to use in cold weather, try a diesel - but pre-heat with your battery power and bring a can of ether. :-)
