@@Slinguh1111 its a joke dude
@@subtoaclosedbox Like it actually looks like it's a joke...
I used to think the same thing until I actually watched it. It was surprisingly good
😬 Wow! your opinion of the movie definetly wasnt influenced in any way by Shafrillas' over the hedge review...
Okay but that cop lady from Madagascar 3 was a great villain. She literally sings opera to heal broken bones. The most extra woman I've ever seen.
You're right about Frozen though
Ikr like younger me was obsessed 🤩
Even walls cant resist her. Shes a legend
She’s my favourite animated villain
Seeing Madagascar on the same level as lightyear is a crime against Geneva conventions.
i agree
The first two Madagascar films and Penguins of Madagascar are great. There comedies, it doesn't have to be Citizen Kane.
@@pizzapower3166 you don't like madagascar 3?
@@mystery4561 It's mid but, I actually adore the animation and the villain. Everything else is OK, the film is just a 5/10.
But lightyear was good. Madagascar will always have the nostalgia over lightyear but really every thing else goes to lightyear. Animation, story, voice acting, etc. and don’t get me wrong Madagascar is ♾/10 but just because Chris voiced buzz(who is a younger and different buzz than you story’s) doesn’t make it bad. Both are legendary movies. Lightyear got way to much unnecessary hate.
Sometimes a really bad movie can actually be more entertaining than an objectively good movie
yeah i agree
oh really?
What?
Yeah... for example cars 2... Critics hate it because it doesn't make sense to them, But kids love it due to how entertaining it is.

Oh my god! That scene in the shopping centre in New York plus when the smurfs discovered Google and the human playing Guitar Hero is the only part i remember lol
@@petermen_2005 yeah I only liked these parts of the movie every else is dog crap
the smurfs? MORE LIKE THE SHIT!
The plot was forced and most part of it felt out of place and unnecessary, like they just added them to made to the 90 minutes.
Now that I think about it, yeah I can’t remember a thing, except the smurfette turning evil meme
The Bad Guys is a movie that has all of the generic kids movie tropes followed to a tee, yet I somehow find it to be in my mind more than any movie that came out this year except for Top Gun: Maverick and Minions: The Rise Of Gru.
Turning Red?
They just knew what they were doing I guess, since the character arcs are stereotypical but are made well, along with the plot being pretty good and the characters being likeable
Top gun because it's legitimately one of the best movies of the year and minions because of the memes lol
Okay but to be fair Top Gun Maverick was a good movie sequel
@@rodicamoraru3922 nobody likes turning red all that much

@@Awesomemay id say the lion king is
It's my favourite 👍
@@Awesomemay you should have mentioned Shrek the Third because I think it is the most forgettable Shrek movie or you could do a entirely different video talking about how forgettable it is
To be perfectly honest, as much as I enjoyed Over the Hedge and Storks, I agree with pretty much everything in this video. I usually like movies with forgettable plots as long as the characters are likable.
Me too
Yeah their really good
Storks is actually bad. I'm just glad no one's talking about the tragedy that is The LEGO Ninjago Movie...
I also like both of those movies (actually I LOVE Storks) and while I'm at it I'll just say I have several unpopular opinions on movies (like I actually liked Cars 2, Ice Age 5, and even the Emoji Movie)
Also what makes a movie likable IMO is a good balance of humorous and heartwarming scenes (like Aladdin). There are some movies with more humor than anything else (like the Emperor's New Groove) that still turn out pretty likeable.
I will stand my ground with chicken little. I remember almost everything from that movie snd its been years since I watched it. Idk the movie just really stuck with me for some reason :3
exactly, I don't consider most of these movies forgettable
Same lol I remember the ENTIRE SCRIPT
@@Idkwhattoput151 hahah yeh same
I actually remember how mean spirited it was that I consider Disney's worst next to Mars Needs Moms.
Yes because it's not considered a forgettable movie it's considered a bad movie it's so bad that it's hard to remove from your brain
Some of these movies had a lot of potential but sadly got ruined in the development proccess
I can’t agree more but I’m just wondering what happened to where the non-disney pinnochio messed up.
I feel like everyone has seen at least five forgettable animated movies and still likes them. like me with flushed away and over the hedge
flushed away is a certified classic
I like Lightyear. Buzz isn't supposed to be the relatable character, but he is one of the few fictional characters I have seen that I genuinely relate to. heck, that movie legitimately was an omen to me about my mindset of my stubbornness and my "never give up" attitude. that movie actually changed my life.
hilarious, I know.
Flushed away is actually pretty good when you rewatch it. I think it was forgettable to a lot of us because of the style, setting and how it wasn’t shown to us as much as other movies were. Like Disney will always replay movies from their property but Flushed Away just wasn’t as popular so it rarely got shown on TV
@@maddiemcnugget1076 agreed
Frozen 2 is kinda forgettable but it’s official on abc
I sometimes actually forget how many animated movies there are. For example: sponge bob, wreck it Ralph, sing and so many more!! Like where are they all coming from!!?
I really adored the ending of Storks where all the people were getting their babies. It honestly makes me tear up a little. Just seeing all those couples of all types and even single parents being brought the joy of a child... It gets me every time.
I feel like some family-friendly movies are over hated. People call them cringe for being hilarious and great for family time.
But I think this was a great video, with great explanations and honest opinions!
thank you! the point of this video isnt to shame the movies/people who watch these movies, because not every movie has to be breathtaking to enjoy!
however its also good to show good and bad aspects because it fun to explore and think about

All I ever do is make fun of it 😂
These animated films can sometimes be forgotten, but we will always remember to never forget them.
A forgettable movie is a very broad way to describe me because I find Rio 2 a very great movie for me despite being forgettable in the animation community. I may not a fan of hotel Transylvania movies or Trolls for hip and cool reasons, but Rio 2 feels a more palatable alternative because I mostly enjoy it from a perspective of a wildlife biologist rather than an animation fan.
I too enjoyed Rio 2, it teaches the audience a lesson on the environment and the importance of protecting the amazon. May be cheesy at times but honestly for a children's film in this modern era it did the job
i find the first movie more enjoyable
Agreed. While Rio 2 is just meh and disappointing for me (Rio is my second favorite animated film, only beaten by Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky), I still remember it to this day. There’s a lot of good ideas in Rio 2 that could’ve made for a great follow-up if the script had another revision or two.
I still don’t understand why people hate Rio 2 so much. Sure it’s a downgrade from Rio 1 but it is no where near Foodfight or Where The Dead Goes to Die level bad. Just an all over the place roller coaster that ends up being a simultaneously confusing and middle of the road yet not terrible experience
Rio 2 is actually a good film in my opinion. I like how we were able to see Blu and Jewel’s new life with their 3 children and Jewel reunite with her dad, aunt, and best friend. Also Hotel Transylvania and trolls are some of my favorite animated movies.
Yeah I like Rio and all the sequels of Rio.
Something I notice is that throughout my earlier childhood i just picked movies because they look bright and colorful. I literally watched both Toy story 2 and chicken little for hours, but as I grew older I remembered toy story 2 more than chicken little, and it had a bigger impact on me
The idea of the trolls in trolls 2 being in different music genres adds personality to all of the trolls and the story was good
Hahahaha no not really
i actually liked trolls 2 which is why i didnt mention it too much!

I find it interesting that many of the cliche' 3D animated movies we have today are kind of similar to most hundreds of anime being pumped out day in and day out. Of course, the animays can have pretty cool animation and cool looking characters too, but sometimes most of them are just one if not the same thing, (It actually gets pretty boring after a while trust me). So it's really a surprise when you actually discover a pretty decent one over the sea of stupid fan service and tropes.
I will not take this Storks slander, the pigeon is the greatest cartoon character created!

Barnyard, Open Season, Bee Movie, The Lorax, The Emoji Movie (tho not for long), Minions: The Rise of Gru

@@goGothitaLOLEmoji Movie memes!?! thank God they died before reading this comment
Storks was actually more hilarious than I remember. Of course, it's not peak or anything outstanding but it's fun, and goofy, and I liked it.
Character really is important. Like, I enjoy "Wreck-it Ralph" way more than "Ralph Breaks the Internet" because first movie Ralph seems competent, goal oriented, and relatable because he wants to feel accepted. Sequel Ralph is just a total man-baby, and watching him be clingy with Vanellope, and not want to do anything without her just made me feel so uncomfortable. The only time I did like him was when he said, "Maybe I do come across as clingy and overbearing", like YEAH, YOU DO.
Anna in "Frozen 2" had the same problem. The first movie had her be adventurous and optimistically determined, but in the sequel, every scene she was in had her be on the edge and skeptical about the unknown. Like, girl, you traveled an entire mountain range without looking back in the first movie just so you could apologize to Elsa, and try to convince her to come back to end the snow storm in Arendelle. Why are you being this manic?
About those superpets that DC characters have pets and they have superpowers, you know that they exist in comics? Marvel has animal Avengers too
My family kinda has a “hit movie”, which we almost regard as classic, quote it, and watch at least once a year. This movie is DreamWorks Monsters vs Aliens. I think everyone forgot this movie actually exist. But it has exactly the type of humour my family uses. It makes that movie remarkable for me for some reason.
Same with Chicken Little. It has a cult status in my family, so I never thought it was regarded as forgettable or bad.
ohhh that was a good one when I was a kid

There are a lot of good memorable animated movies that don't get a lot of attention: 9, ozzy, igor, the adventures of tintin, and so many more that barely anyone talks about.
And their a lot darker then many animated movies out there, they don't try to water The themes down:
9 - the horrors of war
Ozzy - prison
Igor - life and love
The adventures of tintin - adventure

Does anyone remember when a lot more animated movies would have an entire trailer animated specifically for the trailer, like with the clip from monsters university he showed where mike was made the disco ball, or in zootopia when nick was explaining what that world is. Now animated movies have to stitch voicelines together so one character can say something.
I've heard that a lot of animated movies are for international release where they're more popular but release them in the US because it's still worth the small return for essentially no effort releasing it.
The first movies you listed were boring were my childhood 😭✌️….
Despite Ralph Breaks the Internet being so forgettable, I remember all of it because I was obsessed with the movie due to my obsession with technology and the internet because I made CZcams videos, and I thought they would play Baldi’s Basics in the movie, which definitely wouldn’t have been possible if you think about it.

I love the sidenote (Keyword: A little bit) because even after (luckily) only watching Encanto three times, I still HATE Abuela Alma with a passion, no matter how much redemption they try to give her. I think the only time I go from hating a character to forgiving them is John Walker aka U.S.Agent from Falcon & Winter Soldier. His character arc is: 1. Whatever your ops are on a new Cpt America 2. By Ep3, you hate him and 3. By Ep6, you can't decide but you give him credit for doing the right thing. With Abuela, even though she apologised and admitted it was her fault, all the emotional manipulation and trauma she put Mirabel through is kinda beyond forgiveness, no matter how tragic loosing her husband was.
Thanos said it best: "i know what its like to loose. To feel so desperatly that your right, yet to fail all the same." She felt like she was right at the time and even though she apologised, Mirabel isn't gonna just forgive that. Hell, I've seen SO MANY PEOPLE say they wanted Mirabel to be the villian due to the Manipulation and trauma she went through. Abuella went through trauma and because an 'obstacle' more then an antagonist.
i agree with this a ton! i realized after saying that in the video that i felt like my statement kinda undermines how much trauma abuella caused and she shouldnt be forgiven but it was also nice that they showed why she was like that ect
with john Walker, hes back to being a villain for thunderbolts!
