- Oasis
Location: Kobe, Japan
Venue: World Memorial Hall
Date: 12th March 2000
Source: Audience Recording
The second night at the World Memorial Hall in Kobe, this is another similar but nonetheless great performance on the Giants Tour. The second night wasn’t originally on the tour itinerary, which can been seen on the original advance poster. However, demand led to this second night being added. This recording in comparison to the first night seems to capture more of the audience atmosphere, and they’re certainly up for a good time. Liam sounds perhaps sounds even better than the first night, delivering aggressive versions of Shakermaker and Acquiesce, among others. Noel seems to be in a better mood compared to the previous night too. He plays the Sally Cinnamon riff at the end of Acquiesce, and also does an excellent version of Helter Skelter, with Andy, Gem and Alan really driving it tonight. Gem and Noel play very well together during an excellent Gas Panic too. As said on the previous night, this would be Oasis’ only two shows in Kobe, but on the whole tonight is perhaps even better than the first night and the end result is one of the best shows of the tour.

He’s aggressive here, I feel like his voice would’ve pulled off a song like SMS at this gig
Some serious power on the coda in Live Forever there. Same with the third verse in Stand By Me. Lots of guts in this gig, probably one of the best of the entire tour.
One of my favourite gigs of Japan leg, imo better than the first night. Greetings from Canary Islands 🇮🇨
Yeah I agree, this is the better night of the two for sure.
Love this tour. They had so many amazing songs to choose from by this stage that when seeing them perform they were always either brilliant or for other reasons not so great. Me I loved this period of Oasis. They loved touring Japan so much there is a good few quality shows from the band over the years playing various shows in Japan. Top notch performance here too. ✌️👍✌️
It's a shame there aren't more soundboard recordings from this part of the tour, Liam was sounding so much stronger. His Familiar to Millions voice was great in its own way, but the power and range is different class on the Japanese shows in particular.
Power yes but not sure about the range, it isn’t really any better here, perhaps marginally but he couldn’t really get anything above F#4 well anymore even as early as these gigs.
@@badgasaurus4211 Yeah, maybe range isn't the word, but there's a lot more clarity to his singing and it hasn't descended into full-blown shouting yet!
Thank you! Another fantastic gig from the Japanese tour. The sound is pure power
会場でしか感じられないドラムの低音がたまらん
Where did it all go wrong! Not a lot electric versions of this one! Amazing shit
Holy smokes Liam sounds killer here
Me old man walking in on me attempting Liam's gnarly growls: "I had entirely different picture in mind"
i dont know any oasis song that has that lyric
