@@registration3453 im an old school gm guy i hate everything late 90's and current with gm i dont care how good or fast the ls engines are i hate them and walk by them at car shows and turn my head away. i would be the guy to put a coyote 5.0 in before a damn ls
Looked up hotrod 292 and this comes up. Blown away! Nicest truck I have seen on here! I love that you kept it a I6.. I am doing the second swap in my 52 car. started with a stock 216 to a 250 and now thinking about a 292. Cant stop drooling over this truck to get anything done though. Dam you!!!!
I am a Ford guy, for the most part, but this, is just awesome! Love it. Great detail, great parts selection, great sound. Doesn't really sound like an I6. Thanks for posting.
Anthony Carrasco Yeah, you hit it out of the park with this truck. I especially love the inline 6. So many people want to dump the classic stuff and go with a newer V8. Keep that six!!
awesome truck, have a 1952 chevy 6400 with a 216 that we use on the ranch an just picked up a 292 that im gonna swap in an make it a tractor truck (trailer hauler)
What did you have to do to fit the longer 292 in. I just hooked one into the transmission and the pulleys sit where the radiator bracket is. Any suggestions?
Your truck is a true inspiration! I have a 48, 3/4 ton. I'm pulling the 216 out and replacing with a 230. I'm keeping the 8 lug wheels - they are cool! My question is - what did you do about the motor and transmission mounts? Again - Great job! I'll be loving on your truck till I get mine on the road!
Hey Joe, I got the intake from clifford performance. Just google 6=8 and it'll show up. I believe we had the split headers custom made but they are available from clifford now too. It has a holley 500 cfm 2 barrel, but I hear about a lot of guys running the 390 cfm 4 barrel with better results. The valve cover is from speedway parts, but other than that the motor is basically stock besides being bored .030 over.
Anthony Carrasco Hey Anthony. I have an inliner in my 64 Chevy II. Dual flow masters out the back. But a 6 into 1 header. And I am running a 390cfm Holley 4 barrel. It runs great. What air cleaner is that? I like the oval. I have a regular 14” or so round air cleaner and the thing sits on my valve cover. I want to change to something like you have.
I have a 51' and would love to use the same engine. Can you let me know how you bought and chose the components for the engine. Also what parts company did you use for the chrome and gauges. Beautiful truck man!!!
These 292’s with exhaust always sound like ass but not this one! I am absolutely dying to know your exhaust setup. I’m wanting to replace my 350 for a 292 in my 84 c20 for a handful of reasons, I don’t need a hotrod, but I want it to sound right. What brand headers, mufflers, crossover if any, cats? Etc
The gauges we got from Brothers trucks, but I kinda like the ones from classic industries. The interior chrome trim around the windows are original pieces that were chromed, and the grille is a re-chromed original piece too. I just didn't like how the repop one we got looked. Other than that the other chrome/stainless id from Brothers trucks. Good luck with your truck man I just picked up a '50 too.
ah those running boards. i remember as a kid in the 60's riding on them. i guess we were reckless as i would sit on it while my dad drove down the road. not much traffic on the back roads where we lived. we also rode in the back standing up next to the cab and or sitting on the tailgate. those were the days when you could do that and the law would not bother you. now due to stupid riders careless drivers and sue happy people you can hardly do anything like that any more.
Handsome ol' thang, great color, sweet engine, VERY nicely done. Eleven on a scale of ten.
Really cool that you built a 292 up for this truck. More unique than those belly button LS engines everyone swaps into every single thing. Thumbs up!
What kind of muffler is on it
So agree on the overused LS that I'm actually sick of hearing about them. 292 was a killer choice for this gorgeous truck 👍
Why do you think they're overused? Because they're good lol

@@mikehunt-hy6io lol I'm the exact same way. You cant impress me with a cookie cutter LS.
Really nice truck, I'm building a '54 sedan with a .060 over 292, I love seeing and hearing other inliners on here.
GREAT! Huh? Well, great truck, great build, great sound, great video! Thanks for sharing!
Sounds great. I'm putting a 235 back in mine for now . But someday I want a 292 . I want to keep it an l6.
Great Car. It's so nice to see the original engine, and sound so Great too....
I absolutely love this truck!! Beautiful
I love the sound of a split six!
That's a respectable truck you have there man. Good job.
+Mason Wilkins Thanks! Hoping to redo the interior sometime soon to take it to the next level.
That thing runs awesome! Gotta love the sound of those flowmasters.
Excelente suena de maravilla!!! saludos desde Apodaca Nuevo Leon Mexico....
Absolute masterpiece 👍

Thanks man, a lot of people say it sounds like a small V8. It does pretty well for an inline 6!
Anthony Carrasco Yeah, you hit it out of the park with this truck. I especially love the inline 6. So many people want to dump the classic stuff and go with a newer V8. Keep that six!!
nice truck!
Yep I really appreciate it!
Wow, great sound.
That sounds great!!!
got a 194 inline 6 in my Nova and a 250 I'm gonna slide in. Def getting a 4 barrel dual headers setup
awesome truck, have a 1952 chevy 6400 with a 216 that we use on the ranch an just picked up a 292 that im gonna swap in an make it a tractor truck (trailer hauler)
Perfect!
Soa como um v8 mesmo tendo 2 cilindros a menos, incrível!
Cool ride six pack rumble
Sounds sweet
Beautiful!! What exhaust set up are you using? That sounds great!

It has two super 40 flowmasters with split headers and true duals. How does it sound with the glasspack?
You're truck is a beast ! Does that I6 have enough power for some wheel shredding aha ?
I have a 292 I want to drop into my 48. Can you tell me about radiator clearance issues? Motor mounts?
I have a 51' and would love to use the same engine. Can you let me know how you bought and chose the components for the engine. Also what parts company did you use for the chrome and gauges. Beautiful truck man!!!
Did you move the radiator forward to make the 292 fit? Nice work. I like the exhaust out through the runningboard. Gonna try that.
The radiator is in the stock position using the stock core support. We did have to eliminate the factory crossmember for the back of the engine
sounds amazing. love a straight six. The exhaust coming out the side looks great as do the gauges. what brand are those gauges??
Thanks! They're the vintage gauges from Brothers trucks. If I had to do it again I think I'd go with classic industries though.
Thanks
Sorry I meant classic instruments
That truck is amazing!! WOW!!! Nicely done! What mufflers are you using???
Thanks! They are true duals Flowmaster Super 40
Anthony Carrasco Thank you for answering.
Nice truck, are you running straight pipes? I have a 292 that came factory in my '65 C 10, i'm just running a glass pack.
what size exhaust do you have on back
What mufflers you running?
it looks like the 1950 gmc 100 pickup truck

i'm hunting for a 1950 GMC 100 pickup truck i hope i can find one soon

I have a '53 also what are you using for a trans...?
It has a 2004R behind it mainly because we didn't have to cut the floor for it to fit, and we wanted the 4 speed overdrive. And my '50 has a 235!
anthony did u own a 2000 nissan maxima
why does these straight six sound similar to v8s
16384 game or 2^14
yes
nope, just a 2005 nissan titan
it's loud,
Dual exhaust on an inline 6, that's cringe
Perfect!!!
