Salamangreat is a better deck, if their consistency isn't annihilated, also the deck only makes vfd and passes. The deck relies on 1 card and it's a fragile combo deck that can die if their cards don't hit the field. Also it requires more than 1 engine card to combo meaning that bricking will hurt a lot more.
Im working on mine...but unfortunately I didnt pull all the cards I needed to get this deck built and as for what would happen to this deck if King Calamity get's banned....well there is always the option to run Phantom Fortress Enterblathnir as a pseudo-replacement
It’s a good deck. The foolish burial and summon shared among all of them means that you can bait out hand traps and still do your combo. But they need a better win condition in their archetype. They rely on VFD. The level 6 synchro itself is pretty good since it is immune to destruction by card effect and battle. Once we have less big negate boards, it’ll be one of the best and only gets better with new generic synchros and more support
Because u missed it, Virtual World can also easily get out Trishula and Ultimaya Tzolkin since they can easily get the right levels for them with the trap.
I do plan on running Ultimaya Tzolkin in it, but he's gonna be a side deck option along with crystal wing, stardust spark and trish plus another side deck synchro in Risen Raptite other side deck extra deck cards in mine are break sword, phantom fortress enterblathnir and totem bird, but my main extra deck in terms of Xyz are: Number 3: Cicada King, Number 75, King Calamity, Earth Slicer, Gaia Dragon the Thunder Charger, Fanfan and Zeus

Been playing the deck since before it came out in the tcg, wanted to point out few things you missed in this video: 1. if/when VFD gets banned, the deck is still very capable of making Tzolkin to Summon Crystal wing (which can easily be done on summon 4 or 5 to play around Nib) and then use Muddy Mudragon to fuse with Tzolkin and make Dragoon (or Caliga if you have no cards in hand). With the new trap you may be able to make Shenshen on top of all that as well. While it's not VFD, it's still a very strong board in the event VFD does see the chopping block. Also the VFD play itself can play around Nibiru if you play conservatively since if they Nib you can just make Cloudcastle and summon a second VFD. 2. There's also the fact that the deck has an in-archetype out to things like Dragoon and I:P Avramax thanks to Jaja, which I think is always important to have so you don't just auto lose if they get played on you. 3. You didn't really mention the trap much, which I think is important since it's another pop in addition to the VFD play, or any other board the deck makes (and can also pop the VFD itself to avoid Imperm). It also shuffles your cards back into deck for amazing recursion. Also, you didn't mention the synergy of Nyannyan being able to shuffle back in your face-down cards from Desires, which is another thing really cool about the archetype. 4. Finally, just a small bit of deckbuilding opinions on my end. I really can't recommend the Speedroid stuff since the deck has more than enough extenders, and if you brick with only high level VWs and the trap they don't really help you. I personally play Foolish Burial Goods instead, since if you see an unplayable hand than it can send Qinglong to start your plays. In addition, it's a card you can set to trigger Tzolkin if you end up going for that line of play (would also recommend Imperm for that same reason regarding Tzolkin instead of Ash or Nib). Been absolutely in love with this deck since I discovered it, really glad to see more people talking about it! Awesome video!

Yo Blade, if you want to go deeper in on the Speedroid package you can fit in Crystal Wing and Fast Dragon. Sure you lose the ability to Calamities turn 1 but you can get additional negation and disruption by using @Ignister Wind Pegasus since you're locked into Wind
Also, even if its just worse vfd, there is a new rank 9 coming out that it can run, it has several good level/rank 3-6-9 and cards. Zeus is also really good and wont be banned any time soon.
the biggest problem of this deck is that it relies too much on vtf, and considering that this is a card that was only waiting for an archetype that could summon it consistently enough to be abused to get banned, this archetype may face problems later
Nowadays everyone sees only negates. Not negate = trash for most people. But better for us beacause we have surprises for these Meta hoes, that can win us the duel.
an archetype of gazelles seems nice but gazelle is as good as the cards he sends and while there is good targets, salmengreats has much better targets. i m not saying it is bad but not as good as full power salamngreat

More like Salamanfate (rekt by banlist) But seriously before the hits limiting the archtype it was far more consistent don’t get me wrong it’s far from dead & is a great deck but, the consistency is heavily shot.
Calamities is a stupid card and I really hope it gets banned. It's shock master's bigger, badder cousin (and Azatoth their lost brother); all these lingering effects which completely lock you out unless you hard drew an inmediate counter are absolute bs.
