    It’s very interesting watching this because most videos tell you to scan for louder frequencies and pull them down which are more often than not the notes that are been sung as demonstrated in this video and in this video we been told to boost those frequencies. I know when we’re notching we’re not necessarily looking for the loudest but more the frequencies that sound unpleasant. I think it’s a vital difference for new comers to know because searching for loud frequencies could lead to just notching down the notes that are been sung rather than notching down those annoying frequencies.

    Like the comment right before this, I gotta say that sibilance technique is absolutely brilliant. Finally tried it last night and it works like a dream. Standing ovation for that idea. Frees up high frequency techniques for the rest of the track without worry-- I bet this idea spreads like wildfire-- thanks so much!

    how do you decide when to use Ozone Exciter or Fab Filter Saturn? One of them is exciter, another one is Saturator but to me those 2 are doing the same job, don`t they?

    • @sageaudio
      @sageaudio  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for watching! Exciters typically only affect the high frequency range - but with multi-band saturators you can usually create a very similar effect by creating a band on the high frequency range and saturating that range.

    Is the description of Trackspacer backwards? I've never seen Trackspacer placed on the vocal track. It's placed on the competing instrument and the vocal is sidechained to it. Am I missing another way to use it?
