    Have you had trouble keeping your KS0 Ultra stable unless the temp is just right?

    • @RainBitcoins
      @RainBitcoins Před 10 dny +1

      Dang right... Unless it's at 80-86c it won't hash proper.. And Im way too uncomfortable letting stay that hot, especially when I'm not home. So I run the fans to keep it at around 70c, so then it hashes mostly at 380c,sometimes 400. Also pbfarmer said there likely won't be any OC as Iceriver has locked their code, at least for now he doesn't see an OC in sight... Also fans on the back for mine don't start spinning until it reach 85c. Also I like using the Asus Rog 330w power supply. I get them for 45 bucks on Aliex, only thing is you will need to solder a new barrel plug on the end as it comes with an improperly sized one.

      Great video mate.
      My KSO Ultra has been running for 48hrs now. My temps are 47 and 37. Dropped to 45 and 36 when I had window open. It's sitting in my home office on a cold polished concrete floor. I turned the floor heating off. Air temp is 20. 30min hash is 435, 3hr is 398 and 24hr is 394. It spikes to high 460s.
      Not sure what all the 'keep them hot' chat is about. Fans are at 100%, I'm letting it do it's thing. 100% on solar power too.

    Great video bro! I’d like to say that I had a very bad experience with CMB. I paid 38k$ for a KS5 because I missed the original Bitmain sale, and they did not send my machine for an entire month. Kept giving me excuses when I contacted them. Then when I finally got the machine it had scratches on the bottom from being used. Also it was not factory sealed. It was taped up with some Bitmain printed tape. So in other words they were hashing 250$/day in $KAS(at the time) with my machine. It was wrong on so many levels.
    As you know I am a miner community advocate, and my goal is to stop the shady business practices by miner manufacturers by telling the public my stories. I do not get paid, and I use my own funds to buy from random vendors to see how they treat our mining community. I encourage everyone to share their stories, good or bad. It’s important that we as a community help change the way we are treated by these Chinese manufacturers and resellers.
    Thank you for the amazing video, you made me laugh. It was a pleasure meeting you, and re-meeting you at both events. 😎

    • @GreaterGoodMining
      @GreaterGoodMining  Před 7 dny

      Oh that's a bummer, I've heard nothing but good things about CMB so far. I think the manufacturers are the ones who were "testing" these miners. Unfortunately there has been a few times where these were shipping out past the shipping window, especially if people ordered later after the batch was announced

    When you heat up normal metal its conductivity decreeses and resistence increeses and more power is wasted for that higher resistence BUT IN SEMI CONDUCTORS its exactly inverted MORE HEAT = RESISTANCE DECTREESES = CONDUCTIVITY INCREESES ==> THE EASIER ELECTRICITY FLOWS (more current is actually getting to the tranzistors, and its not wasted on the higher resistance) ==> MORE POWER💪

    Mate , Iceriver is very clear that you must position the ks0´s horizontally.

      It's OK, I've had every single Iceriver that's came out. Taken them apart, put them back together. Positioned them every which way. This way is fine, trust me 👍

    60C on Temp 1 is optimal anything over that is unnecessary

      Not from my testing. Temps innthe 60's caused my machine to perform poorly

      I've talked to a lot of other people and they are finding the same thing as me. All I can say is, Icerivers can be weird sometimes lol Low to mid 70's and I'm hashing over 400gh. If I get in the mid to low 60's it's game over and my hashrate won't go over 350

      @@GreaterGoodMining yea from everyone I saw they all said go over 70 on temp 1, so I started off with that. but I didn't want to cook my units too much so i did fiddling and now 2 days in a row 60-62C on all 5 units pushing 405-420 GH.

    Welp, you completely lost me at 6:32 exactly. I logged in and it said Machine Not Running in a little pop up window. I continued to watch your video - you didn't say one word about if the machine happens to not be running. I have it connected to Etherport, Plugged in, and it is running. It is getting warm.
    So some feedack for you - pretty frustrating video to be honest.

      You're frustrated because I didn't include all unforeseen problems with crypto mining hardware in a 10 minute long video? You don't know me clearly. I seriously try to answer every question people ask me on CZcams and in my Discord and on Twitter. Try asking me nicely. What exactly is the problem you are having? Pretty frustrating comment from you to be honest
