밴드 FT아일랜드가 1년 9개월 만에 새 앨범 ‘Sage’로 돌아왔다.
FT아일랜드 아홉 번째 미니 앨범 ‘Sage’는 더 넓은 세상으로 나아가, 현명하게 자신만의 길을 걸어가자는 메시지를 담고 있다. 멤버 이홍기, 이재진이 작사에 참여한 타이틀곡 ‘Sage’는 강렬한 드럼과 기타 사운드에 중독성 강한 멜로디가 인상적인 록 장르의 곡이다. 지금껏 그랬듯 앞으로도 스스로의 길을 묵묵히 걸어 나가자는 용기를 그려내며 동시대를 살아가는 이들에게 응원을 전한다.
타이틀곡 외에도 서정적인 멜로디가 돋보이는 ‘All Of My Life’, 오묘한 쓸쓸함이 담긴 ‘I’m Still Here’, 강렬한 기타 리프와 현악기, 신스 사운드가 어우러진 록 장르의 ‘Broken’, 팝 록 장르의 곡 ‘Not Enough’, 밴드 오디션 프로그램 'THE IDOL BAND : BOY’S BATTLE'에서 프로듀싱한 그룹 ‘G.O.P’에게 선물했던 곡을 파워풀한 에너지로 재해석한 ‘Rising Star (With G.O.P)’까지 총 여섯 곡이 담겼다. 특히 FT아일랜드 멤버가 전곡 곡 작업에 참여해 눈길을 끈다.
알을 깨고 세상 밖으로 날아가는 새처럼, 세상을 향해 다시 노래하는 FT아일랜드. 새롭고 자유로운 모습으로 발돋움한 FT아일랜드를 확인하게 될 것이다.
After a year and nine months, band FTISLAND is back with a new album, ‘Sage’.
FTISLAND’s ninth Mini Album, ‘Sage’ conveys a message about going out into the wider world and walking your own path wisely. The title song ‘Sage’, which Lee Hong Gi and Lee Jae Jin participated in writing the lyrics, is a rock genre song with strong drum and guitar sound with addictive melody. It depicts the courage to walk your own path, as you have been and will continue, and coffers support to those living in the same era.
In addition to the title track, a total of six tracks are included in this album: ‘All Of My Life’ with lyrical melodies, ‘I’m Still Here’ with an odd sense of loneliness, ‘Broken’ with intense guitar riffs, string and synthesizer sounds, a pop-rock genre ‘Not Enough’, and ‘Rising Star (With G.O.P)’ reinterpreted with powerful energy, which was given to ‘G.O.P’, a group that FTISLAND participated in producing in the band audition program ‘THE IDOL BAND : BOY’S BATTLE’. It is especially noteworthy that FTISLAND members contributed to every song on the album.
FTISLAND sings again to the world, like a bird breaking an egg and flying out to the world. You will find new and free FTISLAND.

They are such a rare group in kpop, not just because they are a rock band, but also because they stayed true to their style foe so long! This song sound so good and I'd love JaeJoong to do a duet because him and Hongki are one of my favourite kpop vocalists ever, it would be an amazing 2nd gen combo!

I love how they started the MV by trying to find shade from the rain, then opening a door. It feels like its a continuation of 'Door' where Hongki ran back to ftisland despite multiple, vast opportunities out there. They braced themselves for the unpredictable weather which represents their life and career and got back together as one. After Jaejin opened the door, they started singing, symbolising their comeback.

What an inspirational song from the KINGS! I am so proud of them for delivering quality music until now and the mv means a lot from what they have gone through 💛 I grew up listening to them when I was still in high school and now that I am working, my dream is to watch their live concert.

Yeah… as soon as he sing the first words. It seems i hear a family member. I’ve listened to hongki voice since they debuted until now. He is my daily song i hear when travelling far or simply doing every chores….Yet still mesmerized by his voice.
