Janet Jackson's 'Together Again' tour kicks off in April in Florida. The tour is expected to celebrate the hits from her albums Janet & The Velvet Rope.

I’m finally going to see Janet for the first time in concert on this new tour, in New York City. I grew up listening to her in the late 90s and early 2000s. I’m 34 years old now and it’s a dream come true to finally see her live.
I saw her in New York it was the best tour ever
Janet is amazing to me period. Her catalog of music is soooooo full of anyone's timeline in their life. She has always made music that touched on a feeling, moment and vision of a persons life. Not only what she was going through, but what we all may have been going through. I think because she did not go along with the status quo of how the industry perceives women and in particularly black women, she was always sidelined in some ways, where she had to fight harder or dig deeper to keep herself afloat, but not in a way that she was beaten down, because she stood her ground as a Rebel in the industry. People try to compare madonna rebellious behavior as monumental and it was, to a degree, but she bowed down to exactly what the industry perceived or wanted their female artist to be, outlandish, whorish, trashy, degrading, half naked, promiscuous and so she was all those things and that's what the industry wanted and celebrated her as and she reveled in it all, until now, she thinks what she has done for so long still works, but it now she has become a joke on many levels because of her age, but in hindsight she fits right in with how many women in the industry are. If you look at Janet's career, she gave them an option, "I'll give you a bit of sexiness, but I'm not getting naked because I want my music to stand out and not my body, because that's not who I am, I'm bigger than that."And so when she gave us sexiness, it was just enough. And to this day she has some of the best albums, that are thought provoking and legendary. Like her Unbreakable CD, the album was like a Gospel and Spiritual Awakening....and though again, ageism and todays twerk music, they did not give her album the airplay it deserved because the album was a story telling of Michael and her time with him, the dissolving of her marriage and various scenario's of what was going on with her prior to her hiatus and so when you listen to it, you can sense the deep connection with Mike and not to mention her sounding sooooooo much like him on almost every song, it made you think was MJ in the studio singing with her. So I'm always here for Janet. In my book she can't do any wrong. She's a strong and powerful woman in her own right and she doesn't put herself out there...she does what she does and does it for her fans and not to force feed herself like beyonce and madonna - she does her thing, tours, interview for the tour and then she's back in hiding until her next project. She gives us just enough of her to leave us wanting more....and this tour like so many of her tours, her catalog is so large that I'm happy with whatever she brings. Her last tours she did snippets of her hits just for the fans to get a taste of the songs they loved so that was gracious of her, because if she did every hit, she would be on the stage for 8 hours. She's an Amazing Iconic and Legendary Artist...worthy of all that God has blessed her with. The Blueprint.

This isn't the first time when Janet and Madonna toured at around the same time: 90 with the Rhythm Nation Tour and Blond Ambition Tour, 93 with the Janet. Tour and the Girlie Show, 01 with the All For You Tour and the Drowned World Tour, 08 with Rock With U Tour and the Sticky And Sweet Tour, 15 Unbrreakable World Tour and the Rebel Heart Tour and 19 the State Of The World Tour, Metamorphosis, A Special 30th Anniversary Of Rhythm Nation and the Madame X Tour.

13:00 she was suppose to have 10-15 top ten hits after superbowl!!!!!!!! Just A Little While, I Want You, All Nite, Call On Me, So Excited, With U, Feedback, LUV, Rockwitchu,Make Me, No Sleeep, Made For Now
It was never guarantee she would have had more top 10's at least after Damita Jo the most promising song that could have been top 10 is Feedback and she wasn't even apart of a record label during the Unbreakable era.
Yea it was forecast that when she released Da'Mita Jo, she was going to get 4 top 10 songs from that album on the chart. But they banned her airplay
Janet Jackson might have two tours this year in 2019 she had the Metamorphosis residency (not a tour) and later in the year turned around had the Rhythm Nation 30th Anniversary tour wonder if she will do something like this again this year instead of doing another leg of the Together Again Tour.
We need another album from Janet I hope she didn't discard the Black Diamond album but Janet probably heard new sounds and cancelled an album this be the second time she cancelled an album if she did this and I still wonder she will still have The Black Diamond Tour but she said there is new music for this tour I hope she drops a record and a video soon.
The Black Diamond 💎 Album was Supposed to Celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Rhythm Nation Album but the pandemic ruined that unfortunately the anniversary of that has come and gone unfortunately

I'm just hoping the staging and production aren't cheap like the State of the World and Unbreakable tours.

@@jerryjaguar3239 The Metamorphosis production was actually good. However, the RN Anniversary was cheap.
@@honeyc it was but with respect to the stage size it was good. I just wished she had a catwalk for the arenas for the new tour and normal stage for the amphitheaters and theatre shows.
I'm hoping she changes this up. She has a tendency to just use the same musical direction as she always does. The megamixes with only like 1 or 2 minutes of many, many songs are just overkill at this point. I don't need to hear When I Think of You mixed with Escapade mixed with Love Will Never Do mixed with Runaway again etc. She needs to stop worrying about doing every song and just pick a set list that works and that will give the fans something different for once. I decided to wait this time and not get tickets until I hear if the show is different enough.
