For those who do not understand why there are plenty of Turkish comments written in the comment section, let me explain. In 2010 Eurovision song contest many Turks expected Manga (The turkish band, It is the second one after Lena) to win the race. Many still consider that Manga should have been the one winning the competition and they are better than Lena both in perfomance and song. That's why a lot of people are still complaining about the outcome and keep disliking to Lena.

One kid in my class illegally printed the song on like 30 CDs to bring everyone a copy. It must have been second or third grade. I was like 8 or 9 but it feels like it was yesterday 😂

Nu-metal was sadly out of fashion by 2010, so 2nd place was actually a great result. Imagine casual grannies or housewives voting for a rock song, ain't going to happen. Lena was a cute and slightly rebellious teen with a trendy (at the time) Lily Allen-like song.
P.s. I'd personally prefer Tom Dice from Belgium to win that year, it was so sweet.

But what we sent was still fine and no one really considered it would actually lose the semi. We sent some really bad ones before that totally deserved to miss the finals but something made THIS be the one to do it. Some say she was secretly disqualified because she wasn't allowed to wear the shoes she had.
I guess we realized we had to get stuff together after that because next year we got in 3rd place and then 1st 😂😂Talk about turning things around

Personally I have some favourites among the turkish entries like ‘Love Me back’ which I watched back in 2012 and I miss your country at the party. Eurovision surely would be glad to welcome Türkiye ones again. I wish you good luck for the 14th May.
even centuries past from this song we can not forget. Yes Lena has talent too but we prepared a show created a song that has a vibe and deep meaning. idk i always deeply loved Lena's song but Manga deserved it more. We really missed being a part of the Eurovision. Turkish people were happier that times. Now our economical status are really bad, people are poor, we dont know how many millions of refigues living in our country and we dont even have fun for years. It is so sad. I think we really needed that win 🤔

olum alakası yok. şarkı o sene tanıtıldığı günden beri çok büyük bir hit haline gelmişti. ve her ne kadar ben de haksızlık yapıldığını düşünsem de bu sebepten o dönem kimse gıkını çıkarmadı. Bu akım yeni yeni başladı. Çok çok haklı bir akım orası ayrı. Maalesef birinci olamamamış olmamızın %3 lük sebebi bu bence, yeterince tanıtım yapamamız. Ama tüm yarışmayı bu sebebin üzerine yıkamayız tabii ki. "We could be the samee!" diye bağırmak geldi bak yine içimden,çok büyük travma hakikaten.

O zamanlar 9 yaşındaydım ve bu kızın müzikleri hep beni çocukluğuma götürüyor diyeceksiniz iyi tamam da türkler bu şarkıyı nerden bilsin biz kendi ülkemizin insanları destek veririz derseniz tabi bende derdim ama o zaman küçüktüm ve almanyada yaşıyordum 10 senem almanyada geçti ve harbiden de her yerde bu müzik çalıyordu. Ben yine cevirip baktım zaman harbiden manga kazanması gerekiyordu diyorum ama bu şarkı severek seçtiler.
