    Due to the pandemic lockdowns or community quarantine,, i watched a lot of Efren Reyes games...so humble and superb..at age of 66 but still a legendary..I wish Efren has more years to come and continue to inspire people like Manny Pacquio not only here in the Philippines but in the whole wide world..

    Efren Bata Reyes is the reason for me to take up this passionable sport. I'm one of his greatest admirer in this game. He is nothing but the best. It is because of him I promote this game with my friend circle. I hope to meet him in persons one day. 🤠🤠🤠

    Thought Efren retired from playing outside of Philippines. This is the second time I've seen him play tournaments in the U.S. Still, nice to see him play state side.👍

      he's still playing in Asia for exhibition matches when invited. he can also come to US for the same type of matches. but he no longer wanna play tournaments in US because of the high cost of travel and distance.

    Efren the greatest player of all times. I watched him playing in the Philippines under horrible conditions with insects landing on the table and the crowds all yelling and very close to the players, he is amazing.

      @@jaypacamarra1027 Growing up. I thought only rich people have pool tables at home. I got one about 15 years ago. Its great to just break a nine ball rack and try to run the table. Anytime you want to. It will improve your game. Do it!

      @@markmetzger2503 You'd be surprised. People give anything less than 9x4 a hard time and say they're easy, but I disagree. Play 15 ball on it or even 10 ball. You can get some serious positional practice in on those that it's not even funny. The fact you're work with so much less space means you have to be a lot more precise on your positioning. Also congrats on finding one, I can't find any around me.

    I didn't realize he quit pool and started playing 3 cushion. That explains why he is so good at kicking.
    I have one thing in common with Efren. Mark Wilson also installed a tip on my cue at a pool hall he used to run in the St Louis area.

      I still say Greenleaf, Mosconi, and Lassiter were better.. Just my opinion..
      I have Efren ahead of anyone who has played in the last 50 years.. But it’s close with Varner and Siegel..

    It's great that the GOAT was still playing. I'm now 60 y/o and have limitations that don't allow me to play anymore. The main one for me is eye/brain to motor coordination. Whereas I used to be able to aim and shoot accurately now somehow those two don't quite communicate very well. But I wouldn't mind trying to compete for money and for fun every now and then, as long as I don't lose too much of it.

    I know for sure that sometimes he lets other players win. At least in his later years. He has done it often with Philipino players, letting them win just to boost their confidence. This guy is good very good.

      I think it was clear to Mika, Efren, and myself, and many other's that it would not have done so which is why he grabbed it and nobody said anything. Everyone can't sit down and spell everything out, and let balls roll to stop for you.

      @@marshalcraft it is a gray area in pool and should be a rule not to do it. It "COULD" have rolled into other balls, tied up something etc. Even a nudge changes the game. You'll notice in the beginning that mika fouled, went to grab the cueball, and hovered over it with his hand for 5 secs waiting for it to stop. I've seen many matches where players snatch the cueball out of frustration off the table after a foul while it is still traveling, and it obviously would have contacted another ball.

    First and foremost it is a true honor to watch the Magician play. It seems like age is finally creeping up on him :( still a great match and Mika looked really in the zone, some great positional shots and perfect speed and cueball control.

    The 9ball at 26:50 isn’t slop. He hit that firm enough to keep the cue ball on its line after contacting the 2ball, but then had top inside spin on the cue once it hit the rail to get it out of the way for the 9ball. I’m sure that not only did he see it, but in his own mind he was probably 75-25 to make it.

    Efren is still my que idol..He's a legend of the legends..he inspired people particular those young cue artist in the Philippines by playing them throughout Luzon. I hope that he can play also in Visayas and Mindanao...

    It's sad that this was the best location for these two legends to be playing at. If it were foot ball this would be the super bowl. You'd have millions of people watching. It'd be held in a stadium and they'd be playing on a pedestal. But this is the state this sport is in. A game mostly supported by amatuers who enjoy playing. :/
