A race-to-8 double elimination bracket will reduce the field to 32 players who will then face single elimination, race to 10, to determine the champion.
This will be the ninth staging of the men’s World 8-Ball Championship. It had previously been played in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates before being revived from a ten-year hiatus in Puerto Rico last year.
Also taking place in Klagenfurt this week: the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Women’s Championship (18-22 October) and the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Junior Championships (19-22 October), which has divisions for Girls, Boys Under-19s and Boys Under-17s.

As an older player myself, you must come to terms that you just don't play as well as you once did, it is a process, and at Mika's point in his career, he must accept it and keep a good attitude, as in this is how i play now, ill just do the best i can and enjoy the game i love!
Mika is human, time catching up still an outstanding Champion as we age we don't see the change only feel it and anger at ourselves sometimes misdirected. All in all an outstanding Hall of Fame career 👏.

The Referee is not racking the balls consistently tight ,therefore mushy breaks . These players are great breakers ,it’s just to bad a third party can ruin a champion ship match .

It’s painful listening to the two commenters in the booth.
These two are not as bad as the older guy and DeRoiter (or whatever his name is) but they are not good. Just too much yapping. There is another two man crew I heard in this tournament earlier today that are much better. I think one of the guys name is Peach, or something like that. These commentators need to understand they don't need to comment in detail on every single shot. Just shut up for awhile.
