Switch your wifi transmission mode to 2.4ghz (click the wifi icon) and switch it to a channel that has the least latency. Range will increase ALOT
Ahh, thanks man!
Damon On CZcams I’ll try it
Thank You SOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much
use an otg cable and leave it on auto or just switch to 5.8ghz which has the strongest output! if selecting a chanel your risk in losing your drone is quiet high! my spark is 2 years old my furthest ever range was close to 4 km, 5.8ghz out in the fields...
@@isonic9479 clearly you dont understand how wifi transmission works. I also highly doubt you are using a spark if u are getting 4k range. 5.8ghz means a better picture on your phone but less range. 2.4ghz means longer range but not as great of a picture. I suggest researching wifi transmissions lol.
Best way to give a drone as a gift - demonstrate it losing signal and landing on private property :D props to that hotel manager guy for roof access !
And another B.A. drone to even find it.
Doctor Strange : I Saw 14,000,605 future Kick flips
PotatoJet : how many did i get right?
Strange : None..
kaskasero hahahaaha
I died laughing at this!!! *rises to heaven with halo*
Maybe if Potato had 6 Infinity Stones...
End game spoilers:
There is credits at the end!
He broke his arm
Never flown a drone before, always wanted to film with one. At age 62 and just really starting my CZcams channel...the drone thing is a bit late in life for me. But, I am ALWAYS trying to learn new things with video and photography. Thanks for a the teachings Potato Jet!!!! Hope your arm is healing UP after your dinged it on the board!!!
Dude I love this drone! It might not be the best but for a quick aerial risky shot you don’t want to lose $1,000+ is where it shines! Also, people who don’t know much about photography/video always trip out and say it looks like a movie lol
I have one and all my coworkers say that my footage looks like a movie. It's great haha
Yes yes I love to use my little ninja spark when I need just a quick aerial shot without causing a scene
Pretty sure you can charge the spark with a USB cable unlike the Maverick pro. "Let's talk BACKPACKING".
I'm only planning to drone it up a few years from now but its exciting to see where drones are. Potato dude, great video...
hahaha i was waiting for you to land a kick flip ...
and that shows us dedication will eventually pay off.
keep trying whatever you're trying to accomplish..
thanks potatojet for great contents all the time
Love your content continually keeping me entertained! One of my favourite channels out there at the moment!
Gene! I've been skating half my life. There are a lot of different philosophies on how to fix a trick. The two that help me the most, though, are to experiment with/pay attention to two things: 1) Your foot placement, and 2) Your weight placement/shoulder alignment/center of mass (whatever you want to call it)!
Generally speaking, if your board is landing, say, in front of you, it always helped me to lean in said direction to keep my weight right over the deck. Also, don't be too hard on yourself because a lot of us spent thousands of attempts and countless hours growing up just trying to get one, even stationary, and I'm kinda pissed you got one last time lol
I really appreciate the honest review and not a smarmy sells pitch. Thank you.
I've had my Spark for over a year now. I love it! I'm a pro photographer. I've gotten some great footage out of though. Great intro to quads!
It's a great litle guy, i have it for 3 years now and had no problems, just don't update the dji go app keep an old version that works good with the spark so no chopping video problems or disconects. Cool review Jet, like your style, i joined you, greetings from Greece.
I started off with the Spark when I first got into drones. Quickly outgrew it in only a few months and realized its limitations and then upgraded to the Air as soon as it released. The Air is the perfect travel drone which is of the most importance to me, being able to easily throw it in my bag with my other gear. Might try looking for a Phantom for local professional shoots when space isn't a concern.
"If I ever need to seek permission to enter the family..." Yeah, I love that you brought that up.
Wow Gene, you’re really up for that kick-flip stuff. That’s a heck of a montage.
I would love to see you check out the Mavic Air, it's actually a really good drone that definitely holds it's own in the DJI lineup
Yes please do that review, it would be really cool, and i was thinking the same thing
Agree. Spark is top entry level, but I can’t afford Mavic Pro 2
Yeah, Mavic air is just right in the middle between the 2 drones
I have the air and it's great
YES Please!
My daughter and I been wanting a spark just can’t afford it but I love to watch videos about the spark, thanks Mr potato 🥔 for another great video
if you dont need the cached image / video on ur phone try turning the settings off it may help with the choppy video signal issue 😊
I have had this drone for over a year now. It does everything I need. I bought mine for shooting fly fishing videos without a camera person. The Spark will hold its position pretty well in a mild wind. Would I like a Mavic? YUP! Maybe sometime when my channel is actually making enough money to justify it... to my wife!!! LOL
I bought one to spite my wife . If she had her way she would only spend the money on useless shit.
Lou Perrone dude chill out you don’t know anything about their relationship
@@louperrone8634 stfu troll
Sold my spark because it had *always flew away from me* , tons of videos about this topic on youtube.
Got the mavic pro instead, and i love it ! So much more reliable !
Great video. I have been flying a Spark for about a year now and it does work great if you are carful in the editing. The lack of the 3rd axis gimbal can be problematic! The ease of getting it in the air and the portability are the biggest pros for me. I have flown a Mavic 2 pro a few times and the video quality is substantially better but the portability can be an issue in certain situations. Thanks for sharing!
Love the videos dude, fun to watch and knowledgable, you need to invent a cam built into the skateboard! Also, love DJI products, owned many over the years, the spark would make a great model to learn on and have fun with!
I just got the Mavic Air today, I LOVE IT! Quality, size and price is perfect! And it is also fun to fly :)
Indepreneur sent me! you have a lot of amazing stuff on here! keep up all the good work man!
Thank you for great content! You upload a lot, how much time per week do you spend on your vlog?
If you use an OTG cable in video mode in the DJI go 4 app, you won't lose the video signal as bad. I use the iPad mini 4 or my Samsung Galaxy S10 plus phone.. I own both a Mavic Pro and I bought the Spark fly more combo just to have fun with. Works great for that.
Had all of them. Sold them all and kept the Mavic 2 Pro. So happy with it. The spark is great for the price enjoy!
Get well soon man. Keep up the awesomeness!
Until something better, smaller and cheaper comes out this is still the best drone for beginners out there. Fly well and you can produce great video
I would say its still worth it here in June 2019!
You've inspired me to create my own channel and start filming, if anyone has 2-3 minutes of time to view my movies that would help me out so much.
Thanks for inspiring myself and others to create content!
It's pretty awesome. What a great tool to begin filming with.
$400 is a good price add that with osmo mobile pocket and you can really start creating .
OMG I was rolling when I saw your phone ring, you answered and you see the tiny spark wandering off. Roflmao!
The kickflip sequence should have been a *pain in the as5 to edit* !
You da potato 🥔! Keep up the great work
great video! I've never used a drone but the footage looks good for the price! lol the skateboard cuts!
The kick flip part is my new form of meditation.
Thank you. I’m thinking about getting one for my trip to Italy. I would use it for my channel
Very entertaining! Love your videos!
you just gave me a flashback to my old Spark that decided to fly 2 miles away over some tough terrain. I didn't get so lucky with the outcome haha
Yet again.
Love that JET! The Potatoe JET!!
😀🕺🏻🎥🏖🇦🇺
I love you, Potato Jet. It had to be said and I'm glad you heard it from me first.
Get an OTG cable, your range will increase a LOT. I've flown mine out and up very far, and compared to strictly using the wireless signal it works a hell of a lot better. Further range, no choppy screen. It's 7 bucks and extremely helpful.
I got the Spark since last Christmas and since you are supposed to fly within Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) in most places, transmission should generally be fine. I had some issues with the weak transmission signal which seemed to be fixed after turning data off on my phone and choosing my channels manually. Also ensuring the antenna is pointing the right way helps a lot lol... (flat sides towards drone). Video quality is ok but it is fun to fly. Dealing with people who don't like drones is more of a pain.
I’m a big fan. Keep up the good work bro. God bless
That kick flip montage was hilarious!
I love my spark!! if you want to increase the range, they have range boosters and you can use an OTG cable to keep the image clear but thank you for putting the spark back on the map its my favourite thing of all time I can't wait to get a DJI zoom next much love from vancouver canada! the only thing is canada has strict drone laws as of June 1st so I'm not too sure what to do next!
Thanks Potato, I was saving for it, now I think I will wait for a couple of months more. :)
At this point I think it’s definitely worth waiting for a newer version considering it’s only 30fps and has connection issues. Price may drop some too as time goes on. We will add some drone footage into our videos one day! Nice video, I’m sure it was a fun adventure retrieving it off the roof!
When i first got my Spark it had lots of video drop outs and disconnects. Now I hardly get any, I dont why but maybe its software or maybe I fly different. I do know that compass errors are from powerlines and other sources of magnetism. I brought it to the north pole a couple months ago and it was uncontrollable. I love the spark.
Indepreneur sent me to your channel. Great reviews and very informative!
Ohhhh how did you get the insta 360 hooked to the Mavic?
Keep your knees bent a little more. It’ll lower your center of gravity and force your force your torso forward just a little. It gets caught on your leg since it’s extended too straight after the kick. If you hit the land on it, bend during impact to absorb it and keep balance.
An OGT cable really helps for a good picture really far even with the spark
Thank you for taking your time and doing this videos for people like me that are thinking about getting a drone but do not know anything about them. Do you know if Costco or Sam's club sells this item? Here in Puerto Rico we don't have many electronic stores that sells drones.
Wow!! I loved how that kick flip owned you!!
Great video... PJ i have never fly a drone before i would love to try the drone bro..
Bro - you are hilarious and VERY informative. - I just bought a Gool GW89. I now know I should've gone for the Mini but I it's prolly good I got in for $50. lol. I'll review the GW89 after I've had it a minute. Rock on! Richey Dale
great vid!first it's the best carry-on drone and due to palmlauch/landing i can fly everywhere. my spark has all mavic flightmodes incl waypoint and i get like 2-3 km with solid connection, in urban areas 1.5 - 2 km..always 5.8ghz without antenna boosters. it's a quiet drone, looks like a toy and doesn't draw much attention! i only need 1080p so the only other drone right know would be the parrot anafi, which even has the better image than m2zoom for less than half the price, and most likely the most quiet drone on the market right now plus no nfz! best wishes...
@3:01 "I'm a little terrified right now, not gonna lie" (as he hides behind little girl 😄)
Love your channel!
Hey hey watch out he is a boy that is my Godson he is half Native American that is why he has long hair.
The new PotatoJet workout video!
That kick flip montage was mesmerizing
My home town CDA! I was there last weekend scouting for a show!
I love my Spark. Word is it's the same 4k sensor as the original mavic, but since they only made it a 2 axis gimbal, they needed to crop in to 1080p for added digital stabilization
That kick flip montage was the funniest thing I've ever seen...Probably because I'm a dad of a skateboarder and can totally empathize.
I love my DJI Spark. I use it for all of my intros in my videos. True, I do lose connection often.
I have it and loving it. Nice video quality and features on the drone.
Love Spokane. If you get the chance visit the Leavenworth/Wenatchee area. It’s beautiful
Set your RTH altitude before you fly off...always. You can generally know your RTH altitude just by panning at takeoff to find the safe height.
This is a solid tip
Honestly it's not about how limited it is. It's about knowing it's limits and maximizing it. I've sold some of my footages and people have commented that they couldn't tell that it was taken by a 500 dollar drone. In fact they thought I was using the mavic 2 pro. It's 1080p is sharp because the spark actually has a 4k sensor but was cropped cause of the digital image stabilization. Which ended up leaving it at it's 1080p. And overall it's one of my favourite drones, I never had an issue with range. Took it about 4km /12500ft / 2 and a half miles one way with good reception.
Thanks bro. These videos are amazing
trust me you made a right choice this thing is best i love it so much dreaming to own one soon.
Keep up with the great content
In 2020 it's still totally worth it. It still does way more than the mini mavick even being way older it still has way more feature other than being foldable so definitely go out and get one, their cheaper and do more only disadvantage is flight time which u can easily make up for with more batteries which are now cheaper due to new dji releases so go out and get you one.
Maybe next time when doing kick flips you try using some latex bags filled with helium this may help you get some lift UP! on your kick flips.
I played that golf course just the other day. Great place!
For the kickflip, I think your arm flails are on point.
It's a good drone the range is improved with the cable to connect the controller and you're phone but you still will lose connectivity at times. But it's still a really good drone for beginner
I’m still rocking the Spark! Love it!
I'm glad I bought the Mavic air for 100 off on black Friday. I get 4k, an actual smaller size when folded and better range. Also an issue with the drones is having the prop guards on in high winds as it eats batteries and performance
I did that recently. Tried to do a nice fly by of a building's opposite side even though I was 200 feet away. It lost signal and apparently just dropped from the sky and snapped a couple arms and broke everything else. :( Now I have an Autel EVO and it's awesome!
OK, you got me at 7:07. Made me LOL! Thanks, fun video.
Any drone tests/study guides you'd recommend checking out for the FAA Part 107 Drone Exam? Also, kickflips are impossible
When we were kids in the late 70s/80s the boards weren’t as wide. You might consider getting a smaller kid’s board to practice on until you get it down.
Studies say that you have to repeat an action around 180 times to be good at it, but it also works on failures, so you can still be good in doing something bad :D
Love the spark!! I call it my “bust down drone “ ( it’s a phrase kids use now days lol )
I've seen it sold at department stores. Haven't used a drone, but it looks pretty decent for simple b-roll. Maybe the next version will have better range and folding arms, but other than that it looks nice.
HAHA 12:25 PSY - GANGNAM STYLE - someone needs to make a montage!!! HAHAH Great content as always! Greedings from Germany!
Yo Jet How did you like your trip out of Pit Of He!!? Next time you will need to hit me up and I will take you to some good spots around GLACIER!! Thanks for visiting The Last Best Place! Peace
I would love to have that to further my sky watching and my new love for photography.
So I noticed that moment case on your phone. How often do you use your lens? Are there times you use just the moment lenses and leave your mirrorless at home these days?
Love the kickflip montage at the end 😂😂
Nice video. Great footage too. The choppy video feed happens to me when I am connected by wifi. When I am connected by OTG cable I don't have any issues.
I love my spark and for under 400 its best. I've gotten 3000ft dist with mine many times. Although now I believe the fimi x8 (especially) or the parrot anafi are definitely worth checking out.
Make a full video on DJI Mavic Zoom 2 with its pros & corns! Specially comparison between Mavic pro 2 vs Mavic zoom 2
keep up the amazing videos! :)
I have spark and I’m using it all the time it’s great little drone :) and the reception problems are easily solved by turning off all the WiFi devices nearby, because it’s using WiFi not radio waves as Mavic :)
So cute when the dji spark flies *UP*
Great video. You need to set that skateboard montage to music.😁
I am 421 like I messed up the 420 I flew my Spark for a mile away i also use manual setting and give it a flat profile and you can color correct and grad you can get good
cinematic footage i watched a few videos on the Spark like you said it's not as good as the Mavic Pro but it's good for those who can't afford it.
That little DJI looks awesome
