Hi cccccccc133 😂, had the Napoleon for 5 years now, and can’t ever see myself changing it. The shell is guaranteed for 10 years, which is great. The cast iron grill is really nice to use and it’s just the perfect size. Having the lid attached is another nice feature. @@thedrivebygg the cast iron grill does look nice ! Almost bought one myself a few years back , but didn't commit. Maybe next time, when my current BBQ is due an upgrade ! Happy grilling !
Good question, I tend to use briquettes from Weber, burn slow and hot. I don’t put the coals on one side, I just tip out on the diffuser in the middle, seems to do a good job of evenly spreading the heat around. It cooks chicken, burgers, sausages, potatoes, easily, no real difference to a stainless steel grill, but I do think it tastes better if a cast iron grill, plus you get nice marks on the meat.

Any reflections on usage of iron grill particularly? Such as low & slow, indirect sear etc. that it might be a bit tricky to control the temp. Thx

There were quite a few pieces of charcoal briquettes that could be reused. Nice job on cleaning up the grill grate with that blazing fire!
Thanks 👍, good advice about left over charcoal. Was supposed to add in the re-oiling of the cast iron grill, will do that in a short in the summer.
Me thinks somebody needs to rename to how to cook on and NOT CLEAN !
