Paignton is a seaside town on the English Riviera in Devon situated between Torquay and Brixham. We took our cameras along for a walk along Paignton seafront to see what's there and what's new for 2021!
Whether you are looking for a short break, a full holiday or a staycation in the UK you will find Paignton Devon to be a great choice with it's lovely people, it's scenery, the harbour, the beach, the sea and the pier!
There are many hotels and guesthouses to select from and many of them are right on the seafront overlooking the beach and out to sea. The bed and breakfast's in Paignton are fantastic too with some really welcoming places to stay.
There's plenty of things to do in Paignton too whether it's paddling in the sea, relaxing on the beach, spending time in the amusement arcades on the Pier or taking the ferry over to Torquay or Brixham you will always have a great time.
One of the great traditional English seaside towns, Paignton is known for it's long sandy beaches and together with Torquay and Brixham form the borough of Torbay.
Originally a small fishing town, Paignton is now a well established holiday destination and with staycations being so popular now it's busier and livelier than ever!
We've already covered the beautiful seaside towns of Brixham and Torquay and our viewers wanted us to complete the Torbay trio by filming along the beach at Paignton so here it is!

Thankyou very much for the video. I was born in Paignton, and lived there for some years... Oh, the times I walked this beach, learned to swim in the sea, ate do-nuts at the harbour, rowed boats, walked into the harbour entrance on very low tides, splashed off the seawall, and drove the road. So many memories.

I used to spend Summers in Paignton as a kid in the 80s and early 90s. I love that town so much. Regularly stayed at the Great Western Hotel and have many fond memories of this town and all the good restaurants and amusement arcades. It's barely changed in 30 years, albeit the tourism has suffered a lot with more people going abroad. I'll always associate this town with the innocence of being a kid & much happier, safer times. Great video, and pads of good memories !

Happy holiday memories, last time I was there was over 10 years ago if not longer!! The part when walked from the harbour under the tunnel(4.05 into the video),
There used to be a gift shop on the right and an ice cream shop on the left... Which is now boarded up!!

Lovely walk again, although you didn’t get to the other end of the town where we stayed, I suspect that will come later.
We stayed in Paignton in 1989, there was another family with children the same age as ours who we got on well with.
We drove to Brixham with them and stopped at a Go Kart track on the way then had a look round The Golden Hind and some fish and chips.
We got the steam train to Kingswear and the ferry across to Dartmouth where we had a trip up the river.
We went to the theatre at Babbacombe to watch No Sex Please We’re British starring Benny from Crossroads.
The couple with the children went to the Babbacombe Model Village where the Close Encounters Flying Saucer didn’t so they were given tickets to go again, as they were going home the next day they gave them to us and the Saucer flew fine when we went.

Only discovered your channel this week when I watched your Southport tour. Paignton is our favourite holiday destination and we go there every September, we’ve been going for over 24 years and still love it. My only criticism is you didn’t walk the full sea front up to Preston beach.

I don't always film the full thing when I go places - it all depends on time that I have there
What I do is film a place quickly, post it on CZcams, then read the comments and look for places I might have missed, information about the place etc and then go back
Will definitely walk to Preston Beach on the second one

We went this year. We found Brixham far nicer than Paignton. Paignton was a little bit of a disappointment. Bit run down and untidy.
