Snag a go pro mount for the nods plate. Go pro everything and take pictures of everything-and yes even dumb training events or sitting in the motor pool- you'll be glad you did later on.
As an early-mid 90s A1 tanker, I’ve never seen the A2 commanders FLIR and thermal optics. In total darkness that was beautiful. Nice accent exaggeration.
@@chrisbrymer69 I understand heat. In Iraq during war in mop 3. And quite a bit in mop4. I'm from Florida and never knew heat until that horrible place. Ac in it would be nice. Did they upgrade heater? We had one that ran off diesel. We deployed from Germany to Iraq. You really need heater. I got in good with maintenance dept got 3 heaters worth of parts
I commanded M60A1 R/Ps and M1A1 DUs during my time active. This video brought back all the rush of those TTVIIIs (my individual tank qualification course, your TTVI ) that me and my crews experienced.
Would have been sweet to have M1 Abrams in WW2. Can you imagine Patton’s 3Rd Army with them? He may have just kept going East only stopping for the Pacific.
I've been always curious about something... I'm sure the TC can override the turret controls at any moment given and move it himself. Can a tank commander slew the turret onto a target to designate it to the gunner instead of giving him the direction? and if so, in what occasions does this happen? does the fire command procedure change?
Does the driver say anything during the crew report? We obviously cant hear in this video because he is in the hull and its too loud, I know the gunner says gunner ready sabot indexed, loader says loader ready sabot indexed, and TC says TC ready but does the driver say driver ready? I feel like the driver has the quietest job, hes by himself and just responds to commands by driving forward, backward, stopping etc, but does he have to ever speak?
I love that accent "GIMMIE ANOTHER ONE"
in the game called ghpc tank crews scream too hard i thought, now i realize it wasn't
They are on a drill... Real combat scenario shit gets serious

3:12 there will never be a more intense "ON THE WAY"
Wow finally a tank that shares the inside view and intense training of all tank crew working together.. 👏
Please post more of this, im planning on enlisting as 19K this year this video was amazing

Ditto. My time in was photos and VHS. Still wish I had taken more pics and videos.
Good luck. Best wishes
Bro I've been out 5 years and the last place I want to remember is the fucking motorpool haha@@chrisbrymer69
@@chrisbrymer69 Seems to be an awesome advice, if i was to be a tankist in my country i would definitly do that!

We didn't have computer screens during desert storm. Wow that's nice. Best job I ever had
they sure make it nice but give off lots of heat

Instead of computer screens what did you guys have instead?
@@nep1023 gunners sight. We had thermal. But you had to have your face against sight.

Fury said it well “best job I ever had”
Imagine fighting these guys in a tank battle, so coordinated and effective
на украине эти танки очень хорошо горят)))
I'd feel solid with a commander like you
appreciate that! we will have to link up when ww3 kicks off
TC sounds like Wardaddy's grandson.
Are you still in the army? I'd love to see more content like this if possible.
No more army days for me
How was the retirement? you miss being in the army Any advice I plan to enlist in the Mexican marine infantry here in my country
No retirement, got out after 4 years

That might have changed the way the world is
Gunner "kamakazi drone!" fire ... what would the next procedure be? everyone engage the 'steel rain' concept?
Yessir the platoon steel rain fire command
What did y’all score

Yes TC can take control at any moment. You search independently with the citv and if you find the target before him you designate him onto it.
Ah, amazing. Thanks for the quick answer.@@chrisbrymer69
Really amazing footage! Thanks for sharing👍 Could you contact me? Wanted to ask you something regarding this one. Many thanks in advance
How do I contact you?
from one tanker to another your drills are (from what i know of youre american drills) quite impressive.

What was the score? And did he ever get his boots?
I think it was a 900 something, was 6 years ago. Got top tank and yes my driver got his boots!
@chrisbrymer69 Hell yeah good shit
i feel like the tank should have a bigger screen or something to look through . My monitor is bigger.
she was plenty big, the turret is packed full of stuff.
lol hope your loader got better
He was the best load I ever had
was this the M1A2 SEP V3?
