Thank you so much for that! I'm just trying to help who I can and get better at making videos for now, hopefully it will pay off in the future.

AI will likely increase the demand for data scientists. The job will likely change. But it's still a valuable skillset to have.

I have the same existential concerns, wondering what is worth spending time on. I'm a clinical data analyst for a hospital and looking to get into more technical data science type stuff so I'm not easily replaced, but at the same time knowing that new knowledge can still be obsolete. The soft skills are definitely important such as the ability to communicate complex technical ideas in a simple way.

Yes, I definitely relate. It's hard to decide which skills to even invest in as new tech comes out monthly that seems to replicate them. The good thing about data analysts are that we'll always need humans to communicate patterns as you mentioned, so let's hope for a best-case scenario future.

Thank you Jason! I have a data engineering internship this summer lined up so hopefully that can lead to some good immediate career work, but yes college definitely has a hefty price tag.

@@Jacob_Maz - For sure took 15+ years to pay off my loan and it was a slog. You are light years ahead of where I was when I graduated so I know you will do well

I start university in 4 weeks, data science degree, IT first module then statistics in 6 months, so what im doing is im doing an online DS full bootcamp, so anything i come across at university im not thrown off too much. Can i start applying for jobs within my first year? Heard students do, i already know python well

I dont think Data Science is dying. On the human resource side of it, I dont think it is dying anytime soon too. Ive been working on Analytics since 2015 and believe me a lot of companies are still behind in terms of technology and having to transition them into something that can be automated will be a great undertaking and will take years to do.
btw, I dont know why this vid showed up on my suggested vids. 😅 wish you all the best!

Yeah I agree, small businesses will probably not be able to even afford the infrastructure to implement fully automated systems for decades. Thanks for watching and supporting though, I appreciate it!

I believe DS is the last profession to be replaced by AI since we build AI (or at least setup/apply ha ha)

IT Enterprises are not going to give AI full autonomy to go out in a large infrastructure, discover cron/windows sched jobs/bat/cmd/perl/bash/kshell/applications/databases/security/AD/acls etc. A human will be there discovering and using AI to move in some direction.

I'm not too familiar with how the market for data jobs is in India, but Data Science is definitely still worth learning over here! Thanks for watching brother🤝

I have to increase the sound volume to 54% just to understand you, your voice is deep and very low. I suggest you speak louder and audible.
