In my opinion,
If perfumes r stored in proper way and avoided with sunlight , temp variation , then they work properly without changing in smell even after expiry date.
I HV Azzaro chrome legend bought in 2008 bt it still performs grtt.
( I use it on direct clothes)

The way U explain the moisturizer nailed it, I have similar opinion the lesser fragrance moisturizer are best & Vaseline petroleum smell & syntheticness ruin the authentic perfume,
& the other two point U explained about rubbing perfume & if irritate to perfume spray at back wow 😍♥️👍🏼
