Nice, 58 deg. I need to buy a summer home up there, so I can migrate with the birds. LOL, Its hot today about to head out to my swimming hole. Have a great day DC. 😎🌞👍
That temp is more like it. Im up from 2 hives to 5 hives all queenright, although 1 of them is pretty weak I want to move all of my hives to give me more room to work but concerned about bees loosing their way, so yes pack the entry with branches slows them and reorientates them eh
I have used the branch method and moved hives. It has worked well enough for me. If the small one looses to much, you can always shake a frame of bees into it. You'll have nurse bees, and some of the work force will stay to boost them some. Another thing I'll do when I'm either feeding heavy or on a flow, I rotate hive locations to give the weaker hive a bump of work force. Thanks for stopping by.
The Carni that I moved to the middle line is a hotter hive and I wanted to be sure that any fly back wouldn't be an issue. I do like you are mentioning but I'm worried about the fly back being grumpy our flow is coming to an end. Thanks David.

¼ to 12 pst (or ¼ to 3 est).
Hi Dave.
To equalize a couple hives you could swap a weak colony with a strong colony.

I wish it was 58 degrees, I won't see that until December. Or heat index tomorrow is slated to be 105. The girls will be bearding!
Ya we are pushing 85 today but not those kinds of temps. Stay cool, Blessed Days...
