Tales of Symphonia Impossible mode: KRATOS 1 Min HP, 1/2 Exp, Mania, Mandatory Fights Only

- SIKE!!! GOT EM! Nothing is impossible with the right dedication, but damn this was pretty close to. Bamboozling you guys was too fun not to do :)
This fight was truly harder than any other solo run/no items no death party run I've done before. When the Thunderblade's start firing off, there is literally nothing you can do to protect your party. Biggest problem with this fight is either the whole party dying to thunderblade, and then running out of life bottles before you can kill him, as you truly need to manage resources unlike any other fight in the game.
I set Genis to Hold Position so he doesn't run towards Kratos, so I had to manually cast all his spells. Initially I had Sheena casting Corrine, but I noticed that since Kratos is so hard to stagger and recovers fast, it really messed with my dodge timing so I found it easier to just have her on hold position and basically be the item caster.
Equipping Lloyd with Dash was important, as it lets you safely jump over Kratos, and then as soon as he begins lightspear you need to run towards him and quickly hit the directionless normal attack otherwise he won't stagger and then kill you.
This took a long time because you have to go through the entire Tower of Salavation cutscene, fight a 7 minute battle with Remiel while making sure you don't use too many life bottles, and then a super long fight with kratos over and over again lol. However, I was able to recapture the feeling of challenge I had when I first played this game, so I'm very thankful I did this!

25 minutes... I would not have had the patience for this fight (especially since I know very well how long the build-up to this fight takes). Really nice strategy, party management, and resource management. This fight is an insane accomplishment man! I respect your dedication.

But at least she CAN poison bosses to death and I actually recommend doing that for BOTH Remiel and Kratos here.

I noticed the party screws you a lot of the time when they decide to play creeper to kratos. Nice job.

For no item/no death party run, what is appropriate level for this fight?
On mania mode 10x exp is still a MUST and I still died constantly AT lv 60 AFTER beating BOTH Sylph/Efreet NOW.
I ALMOST did this at 32. However that was on hard difficulty and I had to use ONE Energy Tablet, One Spirit Bottle and an ALL DIVIDE at the end to stop Shena falling to a grave. czcams.com/video/u0WWC4wwxHc/video.html
Is it normal that Kratos doesn't seem to start the battle at max HP ?

Godamn man! 25 minuets and you were down to the last of your resources towards the end! The longest I've had a fight go for was 15 minutes (Sword Dancer 3 czcams.com/video/NzH19fkH9a8/video.html) but that doesn't have a mass of cutscene AND a boss beforehand.
As someone who's sat through that COUNTLESS times I salute your tenacity.
Without 10x exp its NEAR:Y impossible on Mania mode but it may not be possible to kill him here ON NORMAL mode either without 10x exp since on a 1st run I had lv 30 party members against Remiel and had NO TP left after he's killed with no way to restore IT since I'll go for the NO gels title and at this point the ONLY healing items you'll own are gels and Life bottles only.
I beat him with level 40 party on Mania but spend a lot of Life Bottle/Orange Gel and got -10 grade at the end of the battle, I'm not satisfied with this result lol.
Since Thunder Blade is really dangerous, I'm gonna go back to Asgard to buy some Paralysis Charms and attempt this fight again.
On mania mode I used 10x exp to hit like like 60 here and could STILL RUN out of TP against Remiel on mania mode BUT on a FIRST run I had no TP left to use FOR the Kratos battle at lv 30 and still lost to him due to still NOT being able to use gels for that title.
@@veghesther3204 If you ran out of TP and don't want to use gel then let the boss kill you and revive with Life Bottle instead, Life Bottle also recover your TP.
Wtf are yall on? Him on Mania isn't important and you don't need to be that over leveled to do it. I did it while just barely getting nurse after the Remiel fight on my first run a few years ago. You just gotta understand that if you don't want to use the all divide, which makes the fight 100% easier, you need to keep knocking him down and away from raine and Genis. I got lucky with the Sheena ai and she liked debuffing his defense and starting combos in good positions
