I saw someone online say that minecraft music feels like longing for home but knowing it's gone. I think it's the opposite, to me. When you start a world, you don't have a home. So you make one. You build one that's just how you like it, make it safe and beautiful, and watch the monsters through the windows at night just because you can.
I remember the beautiful brick house my brothers and I built years ago on a world we'd take turns playing on, because we had lava or something nearby and the wood planks kept burning down 😂 No two houses were the same, across all my years playing minecraft. But they were always home. And these songs were what home sounded like ❤

The hours he put in to that game and the friends he made, he thought of. The tears welling up in his eyes began to transform in to streams pouring down his face. He thought of where he was now. A high schooler in his senior year. He thought about how much he wished to be back in 2015. He cried for hours on end that night, reflecting and reminiscing.
Nostalgia is powerful. Make memories, because they will last forever.
