Practice Squad seriously? And risk losing him Ryan Flournoy was 1 of 4 FCS players at the senior bowl and he turned heads had a great week proved he belonged! His best play was blocking DE Darius Robinson all the way down the field on a run play and when the ball was snapped he knocked Robinson back at the LOS💪🏾 Flournoy at the senior bowl said "I'm getting a lot of positive feedback just off my character and my style of play. I'm physical in the blocking game and I've got great hands."
He has been working with The Hall Of Famer Chris Carter and he is a great steal

Justin Rogers played against top tier o lines in the SEC so he's no slouch
If he is a good runner with the ball in his hand then use him like SF uses Deebo. Screens, pitches, and underneath stuff.

Mazi Smith 0.5 sacks in 3 seasons at Michigan Justin Rogers 4 sacks in his career 4 seasons total. Rogers 6'2 330 was better in 2022, when he earned a 70.9 PFF grade. He was better against the run than as a pass rusher in 2023 recording a 65.3 PFF run-defense grade
Nose tackle is not a position expected to get alot of qb sacks

What about use him as a RB like the 49ers did with Deebo? He can't run routes but a beast to bring down?
Our offense isn't creative enough to use him like that.

We definitely need fatties like Mazi and Rogers to shut down the run up the middle. As for Mazi, now that he’s put back on the weight that Quinn made him lose, I’ll be looking for him to get off the Line AT the snap, which will help get him in position to make plays. Although I’m sure if we cut him, Quinn would make him a Foreskin in a blink, because he likes Mazi.
As for Rogers, I hope he’s able to make the team but to me, it looks doubtful. Should have taken Frank Gore, Jr. instead, IMO. Or at least signed him as a FA!
Regarding picking up another RB later this summer is the good thing about RBs is they don’t need a whole bunch of experience in their new Offense to be productive. There are only so many RB plays that are universal in the NFL (or just football generally).

Actually there are many different blocking schemes for running backs and backs need to be familiar and productive in a particular scheme

Come on guys..the Cowboys arent trading for anyone. They are blowing this thing up, and are going to save all their picks. The only thing that is going to happen is some vet minium signings for depth. Maybe, but unlikely they will trade something like a 6th/7th round pick for a starter, but I even doubt that. I think its all going to be FA or waiver claims at almost vet minimum.
How many starters did they lose that aren't replaceable?
