Why do all the .hack OSTs make me feel something, man this series really gets me.
Same here, because I think for most people, real life just doesnt compare to our own dreams or other dreams that others make for us (like hack//sign)... Imagination is a persons most valuable treasure!!!
Listening to this makes me wish for a simpler time. Then again this came out when I was a teenager and ready to storm the world

man when this series came into existence it was mind blowing. the first of its kind. interesting but this series started a trend for many more to follow.
The Isekai trend
There were isekai series before, like Visions of Escaflowne and Inyuasha. But .hack//SIGN was the first to use a video game setting.
TRON did it first
@@robblumenberg5965 not the same difference. The movie Tron flopped and no momentum or following was built from it. none of these current trends can be linked or attribued to the Tron movie and no one has said Tron was their motivator. Trapped inside the game is about the only thing the movie is first at but again an entire generation scrapped the concept.
@Argo Alice of Wonderland did it even before that.

Its OST is superb, probably my favorite aspect of this season!

this music starts playing whenever tsukasa is on the verge of waking up. or when his friends would take inadvertant strides to find the key of the twilight by jogging his memory. but it seems to me that tsukasa perhaps prefers never to wake up.
