- In our previous video, we checked out old Manila. We were overwhelmed with comments and suggestions to go and check out BGC, which is modern Manila. In this video, we do just that! We walk around the BGC and check out multiple sites. We visit some restaurants, walk the streets to spot some street art, check out the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, and Venice Grand Canal Mall. Join us as we explore this incredible city and country!

Some people don't realize that solemnity and respect for service members is a big part of America's culture. These vloggers think the cemetery is just a place with a nice view.

@@anjaplushenka5995 they just hit and run. Eg they do not know what they are eating. Food is a culture in asia and we take our food culture seriously. It is offensive not to know what you are eating. After eating it, these vloggers asked the locals to tell them what they have just eaten and what it is made of. Come on, we should know what to order and eat before putting into our body. We now have google right. But thankfully not all vloggers do that, only a few. Some hired local food guides which is a clever method to do a food mukbang.
I was just there at the American Cemetery and Memorial last Saturday, June the 2nd around lunch time before I flew back. The area is so well maintained and there was a tour going on while I was there. The tour guide was free and there were a handful of Americans, Chinese, Indians and Malaysians in a tour group. I came on my own and the guards were so accommodating and friendly.

I suggest when eating Filipino food, always order rice, it's the equivalent of having potatoes or bread w your meals. You'd also be given dips and sauces to adjust your food to your taste. Bagoong is a very pungent shrimp paste and used sparingly to enhance flavor to your meal.

Why do you sound like you are giving advice to aliens who just landed in planet earth. The entire civilize world knows how rich is eaten. There are chinatowns everywhere in the west and 97% of travelers has heard of Bangkok and Hanoi. They dont need to put rice in their mouth in eating Filipino food. Because some cultures do not need carbs to appreciate a dish. Fact is, rich is only eaten because it is the cheapest way to fill the tummy.

Yeah like what most commenters suggested here you need to eat the main dish with rice to balance the over powering taste. Try eating the meal the Filipino way. You came here just when the rainy season starts usually June to February. You can do more outdoors during summertime which is March to May. If you are young at heart try the theme parks, Star City and Enchanted Kingdom. You can also do indoor Trampoline parks or the Art in Island 3D Museum.Try Twin Lakes, Tagaytay or the Crosswind area you will love the weather there and the view of the smallest active volcano in the world on a lake. You can try the Bulalo with rice, enjoy lunch while enjoying the view. Make sure to go to a restaurant with a view of the Taal Volcano.

I walked in slum part of Manila - stayed for 3 weeks - not a single time I felt unsafe.
I probably safe in Manila than walking any inner cities in north America that include Vancouver n Toronto.
