George, I am a big fan of your channels HTG George / HTG Photo. Have purchased both PSE & PE courses and found them extremely helpful in improving my skills. Really enjoy your detailed step by step teaching style, George. Keep the PSE tutorials coming. Huge thank you from north of the border.

Thanks John! I really appreciate the words of encouragement. Aside from the usual "great video" comments I don't get many great comments like yours. Really helps keep my morale up. Right now I'm trying to find a way to keep the channel funded. What is working the best at the moment is a new channel I have set up just for Minecraft using a completely different style. It won't bring in any money for a couple of months but it is getting almost as many new subs per day as my main channel so it will be very successful. I will keep on doing PSE videos since that is my passion, but the channel may be funded by the other Minecraft channel. There just aren't enough people looking for PSE videos on CZcams to fund the channel with PSE alone.

Great job George!!! Again, scared to death to try something new, now I fully understand that magnetic lasso tool and really all the controls which come with it!!! The mind is ever expanding with knowledge!!! I also like the minuet!!!!! I have a request somewhere down the line, that would be a fundamental on doing a displacement map. Concepts would be like face on a leaf or a country or logo on a wavy flag. No big hurry. I have about three videos I draw inspiration from and you did one several years ago. Just want to get the steps down for PSE so I can cook this up without having to go back to the recipe book. Food for thought, just note for when you are looking into the well of ideas? I appreciate all you do!

Thanks Rich, I will do a new displacement map soon. It is pretty straightforward.

    Another great video.
I use the Polygonal Lasso Tool a lot, and if you click to soon you have to start all over, do the other 2 Lasso Tools do that?
Years ago I tried the other 2 and didn't really understand them so I would just use the Polygonal one.

No, the other 2 lasso tools don't have that problem. But as always when making selections, slow and steady wins the race.

@@HTGGeorge For the heck of it, I tried the other 2 last night, not a fan, went back to the Polygonal. I never knew how to use that one until I saw your video on it years ago. Your a great teacher. But I'll keep practicing those other 2.

I just watched your tutorial for Lasso and now have an area lassoed. But need to know how to use a tool to sample an area with the color I need to transfer to my lasso. Using elements 6. Will be happy to contribute...do you accept pay pal? JayD

Use the Eye Dropper tool to select just a color. If you want to select part of the image then use the Clone Stamp tool. Here is a good video on using the Clone Stamp tool to fill an area czcams.com/video/Tl_b2_JNQgo/video.html. Here is my PayPal donation link paypal.me/howtogurus?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US. I really appreciate any fan support of my channel.

In the tools panel on the left side of the Editor you will see a magnifying glass at the top left corner, below that an arrow tool, and below that, third from the top left are the lasso tools. (button above the eye) click on that and you can select which lasso to use from the Options panel at the bottom of the screen.
