    How Islam Came To Countries
    • How Islam Came To Coun...
A hadith narrated in Ahmad by ‘Amr ibn ‘Abasah says: Whilst the Messenger of Allah was showing some horses and with him was Uayinah, and he said to Uyainah, “I am more discerning of horses than you.” Uyainah then said, ‘I am more discerning of men than you.’ The prophet said, “So how is that?” Uyainah said, ‘The best of men are the ones who place their swords upon their shoulders and they lay their spears upon the woven saddles of their horses, they are from the people of Najd.’ The Prophet replied: You are mistaken. The best of men are the men of Yemen, belief is Yemeni, and I am Yemeni. The prophet also said, The people of Yemen are on the verge of ascending upon you as if they are clouds. They are the best (people) on Earth.

What the Bible says about the people of Yemen.
    Joktan is Qahtan
    Hazarmaveth is Hadramaut
Mesha is an area in the Red Sea and sepher is in the mountains of Yemen. This refers to the areas today of Shabwah and Marib. Shabwah was where the original kingdom of qahtan and Marib is where the queen of shebas palace is located.
    Genesis 10:21-31:
21 Sons were also born to Shem, whose older brother was Japheth; Shem was the ancestor of all the sons of Eber.
    22 The sons of Shem:
Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram.
    23 The sons of Aram:
    Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek.
24 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah,
and Shelah the father of Eber.
25 Two sons were born to Eber:
One was named Peleg, because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.
26 Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
    27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
    28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29 Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
30 The region where they lived stretched from Mesha toward Sephar, in the eastern hill country.
31 These are the sons of Shem by their clans and languages, in their territories and nations.

Thank you for this great video. The narrator (sorry I don't know your name) is well articulated and neither too fast nor too slow. The music is not too loud and the video has a good length. The topic is very interesting and I am greatful that you put the Prophet asws in a historical context (not Prophet in one side and thd History in another).

According to Ar-Rahīq al-Makhtum (the Sealed Nectar), a modern Islamic hagiography of Muhammad written by the Indian Muslim author Saif ur-Rahman Mubarakpuri, Khalid ibn al-Walid was appointed with the people of Hamdan to call them to Islam. He stayed with them for 6 months but they did not convert. Then Muhammad dispatched Ali ibn Abi Talib and Khalid came back to Muhammad. Ali called them to embrace Islam (and communicated a message from Muhammad to them), and they responded and embraced Islam. Ali then wrote to Muhammad about his success, to which Muhammad replied "Peace be upon Hamdan, Peace be upon Hamdan". Khalid ibn al-Walid was not able to convert the people of Hamdan in 6 months,[3] but Ali reportedly managed to convert all the people of Hamdan in 1 day.

Islam in Yemen dates back to about 630AD, when it was introduced by Ali who finalized the conquest of it when Muhammad was still alive. It was during this period that the mosques in Janad (near Ta'izz) and the Great Mosque of Sana'a were built

The Messenger’s hadiths regarding Yemen are specific to a particular time and group of people, and should not be interpreted as absolute or perpetually applicable. I am inclined to agree with the opinion of Ibn Taymiyyah, who suggested that these hadiths refer to the Ansar who supported the Messenger and remained steadfast in Islam after his passing. This interpretation is more accurate considering the historical context of the region, as the people of Yemen have experienced periods of apostasy, followed by the adoption of Zaydi and Tahiriyya beliefs, and currently adhere to Shiite Islam under the influence of the Houthis.

Saba was the king of Yemen. Under his kingdom Yemen was under turmoil.
He had sons but chose Belquise to take his throne after his dies because she was VERY BRAVE ( he was a father figure to her)
She then became the queen of the kingdom of Saba after he died.
She ruled the country with her bravery and integrity.
Years later some scholars believe she married king Suleman after her visit to him and they had a son. After the dam of Yemen erupted she and her son along with many people of Yemen escaped to neighboring countries.
Today is still a mystery of what country she and her son escaped to.

ONE CORRECTION I WANT TO MAKE FOR YOUR VIDEO. Yemenis are arabians but they weren't considered arabs before the Islamic conquest. the Arabic language was spoken by no more than 20-30% of the population of yemen during the time of the Prophet PBUH. they're native language was not arabic but rather it was Mehri, Sehri, Hadramouti, Sacoutri which are known as south arabian languages and are closer to somali and ethiopian languages than they are to arabic. yemenis were arabized just like the Gulf was arabized who were Iranians primarily. There is a Hadith where the Prophet PBUH talks about different countries of the world. In that Hadith he distinguishes Bilad-Al-3arabiyah and Bilad-Al-Yemen because Yemen was not part of the Arab homeland.
