Sarah, I use to assemble those tapes as a teenager. We had a factory that produced the tapes and vinyl records. Years later after it closed Sony took over and we produced CD's, DVD's, mini discs, PlayStation games and LD's. Sony recently closed here after about 40 years in the area.

That little train reminds me of a Ruston 48DS diesel shunting locomotive. They were tiny locomotives used around industrial locations, military locations and factories. I'd love to find a blob top cylinder! I love all your finds and I'm rather jealous of these locations!

Hello ladies, I’m American, born and raised in Detroit Michigan, I’ve been watching your videos for about four months now, I absolutely love what you do. this location is a treasure trove. your interest in this hobby captivates me, along with your finds and your wonderful personalities, the two of you are absolutely delightful. If I lived in England or Scotland I would do what you do. Gail I love your jewelry making skills and your creativity. I look forward to viewing your videos, just this evening I watched a video with the woman your with in this video. I watch Nicola white and recently I discovered the Mudpies. but the two of you are my favorites. looks like your having nice weather, I metal detect, waiting for nice weather, snow yesterday, mild and nice today. I wish the best for the both of you, and please be careful, take care.

I watch a number of mud larking channels and it always amazes me, the amount of lead, found along river banks and the foreshores in the UK. It rather frightens me actually. As a child, we spent our summers on the shores of a small lake that had been used for duck hunting. There was so much lead shot in the water that the swans that landed on the lake during their spring migration would loose many of their numbers due to lead poisoning. I'll never forget the beautiful sunrises, only to see highlighted, the white, lifeless bodies floating on the lake, every morning for weeks.

I think the best find was certainly the Ginger Beer bottle found by Alex.
The fact that it was from a small independent grocer, and the chances of survivability intact mean it could be a relatively rare find.

Another wonderful vicarious voyage of discovery with you, and I love you all for it! I like following a number of you intrepid mudlarkers' channels, but you gals are my favorite! I really appreciate your music, editing (and editing in the pop ups of cleaned up finds/info during the search). Just lovely. Bring us back to this site often, it seems like a real treasure trove! BUT PLEASE !!! Friends, DO start wearing gloves at these sites. You really don't know what kind of chemicals are mixed into the earth at these old sites. I cringe watching you brushing off the muck with your bare hands. Protect yourselves, please? Take care, all.

I remember a 'Yates' in Nottingham. It was like something out of a Lautrec painting, two floors of dissipation. A string quartet of pension-age musicians would play on Friday nights, but you couldn't hear them. All manner of booths, side-rooms, nooks and crannies with huge barrels of cheap Australian wine from the days when such drinks were highly regarded for their price and potency rather than their bouquet. I nominate the plinth and the 'coffee-maker' for the window. I believe that fair because the plinth needs something on it to be a plinth. The last clip is reminiscent of the 'Washington Crossing the Delaware' painting, though more frivolous than Washington could dare have looked.

The Milk of Magnesia bottle would be pretty for glass beads , wouldn't it. The blue is so lovely, but WOW that dark amethyst dish is amazing and whole.!! Splatter glass piece is a beautiful find. I just adore the old watch parts when they are polished up. They are definitely great for an art piece. I also love the little bottles with spouts. They seem quite rare as are the marbles and the facetted beads. That beautiful little copper coffee pot is so unique and I think would be a wonderful addition to the Window of Wonders. So many lovely finds on that trip and I enjoyed watching it all so much.

What amazing little finds on this lark.
All those little treasures waiting to be found again, after so long being discarded as useless.
    Sara's Micky Mouse was amazing.
    Even with one ear missing.
I think the childs shoe and the scull should go on the ledge. The shoe because of its hard life, worn to bits by its little owner. Plus the scull, just because of the way you managed to put it all together. Freaky but i oddly liked it.
I must admit i loved all the netal finds, but my favourite was that beautiful Art Nuovo plinth/bowl.
It looked perfect. The shape was lovely.

I have the same skull on a book. It has a jaw that moves on a piece of wire with a counter balance of lead. I know you said it was a match holder and striker but when I got mine it had red wax in the hole in his head and some residue of melted wax that ran down the sides. Someone was using this one as a candle holder. Great finds.

Wow what a great spot. I could spend hours there with a clear bottomed bucket for viewing and sifter for sorting!

I vote for the skull and the amethyst plinth for the windowsill of wonders, along with perhaps that pretty piece of spatter glass, and the little toy lamb in honor of the upcoming Easter season. That's quite a great spot for mudlarking.

With all those lead toys finds I think it should be one of them. First vote the little pig second the little locomotive! Can’t wait to see y’all’s next treasure hunt video!

How fun watching you all row the boat! I nominate Mr. Camel for the window. Thanks!
