thanks so much, i wrecked my syma about a year ago tried to fix it... failed, finally got the courage to try again, did some research found out i was missing cogs on a gear and found this vid, new gears on the way via mail :)
Mr wolf thank u so much for the video u explained it very well this is my first crush heli ever and the bottom gear somehow come out yesterday and I'm not a technical guy I was worried I will have to buy a new one as the main drive shaft kept slipping out but after I saw your video I realised the drive shaft is held into place by the last gear so thank you so much I'm fixing it as I watch your video
You can also lodge the intermediate gears out by prying the screw driver or something else against the gear and upper part of the inner ceiling, I found that much easier, comes right out.
Working on my daughters. As he said look for striped gears. looks like the lower blade gear on the motor, is striped on mine. Great video, Thanks. I just wanted to make sure I did not take off too much to get to my problem, lol. Hey would love if you post the upgraded battery part info. May as well add some upgrades while I'm doing this repair. It's very popular, but that's exactly the reason why you see so many people having problems with it. Lots of beginners to RC helis buy the S107 because it's probably the best indoor heli for its price. But, if you aren't careful about taking good care of it, ANY heli will break very easily. This $20-40 bird is easy to replace, but imagine going from having a $1500 six channel to a mostly worthless pile of junk on the ground..
Hobbywolf - great tutorial! Say, where did you obtain the replacement gears? Our Syma S107 has a stripped gear -- one "tooth" is missing so the helicopter now can never rise more than an inch or so off the ground.
I crashed it and everything still works but when it takes off/starts hovering, it dives right into the ground? The wings looked a little nicked up but I'm not sure why this is happening? The upper bars still pivot and it appears to be in good working order. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hey I broke my back propeller and after a quick look it seems that one of the cables connecting to it (the blue one) has broken off the main piece. Is there any fix that you know of? Also, the blue cable is now much shorter than the red one. Cheers.

I just got one and straight out of the box I charged it and read the manual,When it was finished charging I tried to fly it but even at full throttle it won't lift there seems to be a grinding noise coming from the gears but it was just out of the box? PLEASE HELP I'm getting pissed off Also it spins anti-clockwise even if I adjust it fully on the remote any suggestions ???

Thank you for the information on the gear replacement. I love this little helicopter. It is my first and Im hooked. Very good copter to start with.
As far as indoor coax helis go, however, this one is very sturdy, has a good performance level, and is easy to modify.

i think its your battery. If you had it for quite a long time then it needs to be replaced for a newer one. If its not your battery check your blades.
Son has broken rear boom mount for rear rotar, trying to find video of how to replace rear boom.

one blade on the the double rotars have split in half and i think thats the reason why my ls 222 wont list higher than 5 inches

My helicopter would blink red at the transmitter and when I fly it stops the blades run slowly then stop I charged it .What should I do?
my bottom rotor is not spinning brand new to hasent even flown yet i checked the gears and they are fine what would you do
