On a reef in the Pacific Ocean, 17,000 camouflage groupers dart about in the cloudy water. It is, in fact, an underwater orgy- turned feeding frenzy. An orgy might seem like a rather flamboyant way to breed, but sex in the sea is a surprisingly inventive affair. So what other sneaky escapades are happening under the sea? Luka Seamus Wright offers a peek beneath the ocean’s covers.

Technically they don't actually give birth, but rather protect the offspring in a pounch-like thing while they develop

@@bluesky_cupy5158 what does it mean to give birth though? if it means hold an egg/fetus/underdeveloped young within your body until it develops enough to hatch, then yeah! seahorse males give birth! if it means that you have to have had the fertilization process take place inside your body then bingo! seahorse dads also do that! if you mean that it has to be kept in a totally enclosed organ, i guess not, but neither do kangaroos or other marsupials for the entirety of development
