- Charles comes back! Plus Dumb Dora goes on an Easter Hegg Hunt. Also features the short-lived rule in the Head-to-Head match where contestants couldn't pick the same celebrity (Richard) consecutively.
Gary Burghoff, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly, Madlyn Rhue, Richard Dawson, Betty White
The 70s version of this show was the best game show of all time. From the banter of the celebs and some of their antics, to the rowdyness of the audience and the overall attitude of not taking to seriously, all the bases were covered.
There will never be people/show like this again
This is a particularly wonderful and wacky episode.... Love it, really brought a smile to my face, thank you for these uploads !!
LOL, gyms 40 years ago were called figure salons, OMG.
Only for women.
I wonder if they had those things that shake your body fat?
Never heard that. I also never knew anyone who is unfamiliar with deli's 😮
Love how Charles "drops in"
and they say Brett Somers is an attention-getting whore...well, whadya CNR's grand entrance???
"We miss you and it's grand to have you back". Yeah, Charles is back!!
Jolly good show.
Charles Nelson Riley is an Icon.
Every other weekend, Gene Rayburn flew between his home in Massachusetts and CBS Television City in Hollywood. He would tape six episodes on Saturday and six episodes on Sunday (ten episodes for CBS and two episodes for syndication).
"Match Game" is a certifiable classic-Gotta love Charles & Brett.
I love Charles not Brett
Don’t forget Richard Dawson
@@alessandra523 100%
@@ultmswag3170 of course dawson had to get into the act. Gary was an a__. So was Brett.
I get the feeling that they taped this after the food and wine were served.
This must have been the first taping of the day. Charles just "returned from a flight".
That's the feeling they were going for with every episode. :)
You know it.
THE BEST DAMN INTRO OF CHARLES NELSON REILLY IN HIS RETURN
Charles`s entrance totally caught me off guard. I thought he was going to come out on the carousel. In typical CNR fashion he got lowered from the flyrail. lol
I love it when Charles drops in Hee Hee Hee it funny
SO glad Charles is back! It was a real chore watching w/o him!!!
maybe now we can work on saying goodbye to gary
Wow! This was a great episode. One of the best moments in this episode was Charles Nelson Reilly came back from his vacation where he was holding a dead hawk. That was incredible.
In the audience match round, my guess would be "Love Machine" by the Miracles, "Sex Machine" by James Brown, and "Sharkey's Machine" which was a decent movie with Burt Reynolds, because the movie wasn't even out until 1981. Those are my three guesses.
lol- good CNR impersonation , Gary
Gosh, I love watching this show 😍
Takes me back to better times in the USA 🇺🇸
Talk about making entrances!
talk about an attention whore..Brett's got nothing on CNR...
Uncle Chuck is hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂
In the note above it says: "Also features the short-lived rule in the Head-to-Head match where contestants couldn't pick the same celebrity (Richard) consecutively."...which is why they came up with the Star Wheel.
The wheel was a terrible idea
1:33 Hi, Charles! Nice of you to drop in, or fly in!
Harry the Bird has had engine failure
makes me laugh before dinner
Gotta love Gary's CNR impression starting at 5:19, too funny
UGH !!!!
Wow, for a sec there Betty didn't look too happy about the Allen Ludden/Betty White question.
She was being funny.
that non-consecutive celebrity rule for the head-to-head match should have been kept.
no , it was stupid and unfair to the contestant
Producers obviously did not like RD hogging all the limelight!!
Interesting how the most "unusual " person is the one the people love the most ( but there's also Brett and Richard).
Love how Gary "accidentally" impersonates Charles on that first question.
ole Gary is rippin on CNR
Gary's impersonation was spot on
Betty yelled at the producers for that last question.
Interestingly, this was a Thursday show -- must have been right after the dinner break!
Gary Burghoff, BS, CNR literally flies in, Madlyn Rhue, RD and BW.
Hi Charles Nelson Reilly so funny and Richard Dawson and Brett and all in their own way Betty White all good sports and of course Gene Rayburn blessings spirit wise and peace this was enjoyable to watch thank you peace✌️😺🤗🙃🙏😇🌷
This game was so funny. I used to watch it when new. I was 14 during this ep, and almost out of 8th grade. Radar of MASH was on this game several times. The current celebs of the 1970s were on it. Yay!!!
Hey Fanny did you get that Excalibur from Jay Leno yet
Woahh!!*
WE GOT A WINNER
And another thing: You don't know for a fact that the reason Cosby was not credited on "Now You See It" was because Mark Goodson knew he was no good. You are ignoring the fact that it was a common practice not to credit composers of pre-existing music on game shows.

The true happiness of this people after understanding they won 500 molars. Her reaction, the husbands... its like they win the lottery as if those 500 will sort all their problems.
THE AUDIENCE APPALUD
I don't like when they try to be vulgar
Gary is so annoying he's trying too hard to be funny n it's not working at all n Richard I can't stand especially when he tries to do the laurel n hardy act he's not funny either Charles makes the whole show
Richard is doing Paul Lynde.
Don't like it? Don't watch!!! :)
John Terrino I remember watching this back in 1999 9n the game show network and the guy I was dating said the same thing....lol. He's a show boater and it's annoying af.
John Terrino the only person better than Richards impersonation of Paul Lynd would have to be Bendelecrem! !
Angie Lee Huh????
Gene supported Planned Baby Slaughter.
Why are you watching a 1970s show at all? Everything they do or say is offensive to you!
