What? Why??? There's absolutely no reason...
Is no one gonna acknowledge the fact that even though these guys were enemies to each other, they respected their deaths and buried them accordingly.
Hate em or love em they did respect each other at the end.
It was more about them being religious. Not giving your enemies or allies proper burial could anger gods, and that would be really bad for you, since their support is important to hold the power. It was common practice to take a pause during long battles, so both sides could bury their dead warriors.
Basically, you can be worst scumbag, but if you would give your enemy burial according to their wishes, gods will support you with your newly claimed power.
I think that's great. In China tho in the past, the people who gained power would sometimes dig up their deceased enemies and whip their dead bodies. Yep. They're that brutal
@@Losshe There was one event in Greek history, when great commanders were executed, because they didn't bury fallen sailors properly, due to storm. That's just how important afterlife was seen back there.
If I remembered correctly, poltics and beliefs aside, they were still bros, like Temudjin and Jamukha

She actually didnât look like that. She dressed like a Hellenistic Greek woman. She wore her hair in braids and buns and a white headband and put pearls in her hair.
Exactly.
She also wasnât pretty apparently just charismatic
To be fair, she did wear an Egyptian queen's vulture headdress during religious ceremonies that honored native Egyptian gods and goddesses, but you're right in that she would have dressed like a typical Hellenistic Greek monarch otherwise, especially when gallivanting around Alexandria, a colony founded by Alexander the Great which remained a Greek city-state with special status, considered separate from Egypt even after Roman conquest.

Hereâs a fact: before choosing the snake Cleopatra almost ingested parts of a strychnine tree to end her life, but when she saw her assistant suffer convulsions, all while conscious, she chose the asp as it was a much quicker death for her
And how did u verify this fact?
So why would she invest the tree poison if she didnât want to die like that? Thatâs not a fact thatâs your imagination
You are incorrect. Also, if you knew anything about Egyptian Cobras, or the Asp, you'd know their necrotic venom would've been a painful, VERY slow death. Most Greek and Roman historians believe she stabbed herself with a hairpin dipped in poison...

No, they shouldn't. I like Infographics Show's videos, but the majority of the time they get things wrong, mispronounced, or flat out putting in animations from the wrong time period. Their history videos are awful especially on war. They literally get WW1 and WW2 mixed up in alot of those videos which is just silly. Instead of focusing on taking their time researching, they're in a rush to pop out 2-3 videos a day.
I'd rather not show this in schools so not to confuse the students watching and getting false knowledge.
Matt N so why u watching their history videos if u donât like them
@@LeeEverett1 I feel there should be a bit of a mix, at least in high school.theres a reason why history is ppls least favorite class even tho it's arguably the most interesting. Schools focus too much on useless Info and spend too long on things that are not needed. If they spent more of their time talking about the interesting parts of history that are easier to understand more ppl would enjoy it and go on to learn more about it after high school
@@DANtheMANofSIPA Sure and I agree with that, but if you want to make history fun, you have to make sure it's accurate also otherwise what's the point. No one called him Mark Antony, his name was Marcus Antonius Creticus and was referred to in life as either Marcus or Creticus. Geesh. Roman names of the aristocracy were called tria nomina; individual name first called the prenomen, ancestral name second called the nomen, (name of house, extended) followed by extended clan name called the cognomina. Gaius Julius Caesar was of the Juli'i Clan, Marcus was of the Antonius Clan.
