Love this set. One of the things that is interesting is the two different types of rookie cards. I thought the coaches cards were a cool idea. I guess that concept was slightly reprised in 1973 when the coaches appeared on the manager cards. 1960 had great combo cards, classic all-star cards, and it was the first time they issued World Series cards. The only thing that I'm not crazy about are the manager cards. But hey, I'm not complaining!

1960 Topps was the first vintage set I ever completed. It’s all raw and probably averages VG condition. I think the top 5 most expensive to pick up from high to low were the two Mantles, Yaz, Clemente, and Aaron. So pretty close to your list as well. The Tommy Davis high number rookie was a sneaky slightly expensive card. Thanks for sharing the info!

I like the 1960 design & my Yaz rookie is one of my favorite cards in a 4.5. I feel like most cards are pretty affordable, except the Mantle but that’s not new. As always, thanks for putting all of this info together & sharing John. Great video.

Comments: Kaat rookie didn't make top 10: No surprise that Mantle made #1 on this list: Wondering what Yaz rookie would be in 2024: Took guess: maybe in 6 figures: Not a big fan of the Allstar cards, but do like the McCovey rookie card design.

Thanks Kevin. Yeah I could see the Yaz in a 10 reach six figures if it want up for auction today. With some of these sets it's hard for even hall of fame rookie cards, especially of less popular hall of famers, to compete with all the great players featured in the set.

Yastremezki, second year card might be more desirable. I think it's a better looking card though, I do like the horizontal too, though. I haven't done much of a deep dive into his market. I know he was a great player and Red Sox player, but in general prices of his cards seem slightly under valued given his all time status. Kind of like, a Frank Robinson. But I get it. Not everyone can be Mantle, Aaron, Mays, etc in the hobby...

I like his second year card a little better than his rookie card. I think you're correct Andrew that while Yaz was a great player, he's somewhat undervalued in the hobby along with Frank Robinson.

Thanks Steven. While the player name does seem a bit busy with the alternating colors I think it goes well with the overall design. But I can see your point in how it might take away from the overall look of the card.

Very Surprised that Yogi didn't make the top 10 I understand he's not in the top 5 but 8th would be where I expect him surprised about that not in the top 10?
The Yaz Rookie in third place I just fell out of my chair for a rookie card solo rookie 1967 triple crown over 400 home runs hall of famer I would expect first place?
Nice to see Mccovey in the top 5 5th place
Mantlle's great don't get me wrong but fair is fair I think collectors should be paying more for Yaz Rookie which should drive the price up?

Thanks Mark. Yeah Mantle cards just continue to be expensive and usually are the most expensive card in a set he is in. But while Yaz was a great player and it is his rookie card, more collectors want the Mantle card. We may disagree, but it's the majority of collectors that ultimately win out with which cards are more popular than others.
